The Game of Mad Gab! The Game of Mad Gab! It’s not about how it is spelled . it's about how it sounds! The Objective! • Two teams compete to try and guess actual phrases, names and places from words that seemingly don’t connect! • Say the words together outlaid several times-it should eventually seat to sound like something you recognize! • One person must serve as GAME MASTER! • The Game Master will want to have a separate copy of the answers to reference when someone says the right phrase! 3 Example Noose Pay Perry Port See, this words all seem random right? But trying saying them all together! 4 Example Noose Pay Perry Port Newspaper Report Gameplay • You can sound it out and say it as many times as needed. Once someone on your team says it, we move onto the next one • Each round is two minutes per team. Team #2 cannot guess during team #1’s turn. • However, at the end of the round, any that the first team passes by, the other team can guess • Passing on a card as a team is allowed, but it subtracts points from your total. Lets get ready to RUMBLE! 7 Pretty Shack Scent 8 Pretty Shack Scent British Accent 9 Ape Hand Hub Hair 10 Ape Hand Hub Hair A Panda Bear 11 Wand Her Womb Hen 12 Wand Her Womb Hen Wonder Woman 13 Abe Less Sing 14 Abe Less Sing A Blessing 15 Ache Wrist Muck Air Hull 16 Ache Wrist Muck Air Hull A Christmas Carol 17 We Loaf Ore Chin 18 We Loaf Ore Chin Wheel of Fortune 19 Disguise They’ll Him It 20 Disguise They’ll Him It The Sky’s The Limit 21 Gnome Ore Mist Her Nice Thy 22 Gnome Ore Mist Her Nice Thy No More Mr. Nice Guy 23 Nosed Ring Her Hatched 24 Nosed Ring Her Hatched No Strings Attached 25 Laws Din Trace Lay Shin 26 Laws Din Trace Lay Shin Lost in Translation 27 Europe Lay Sore Mind 28 Europe Lay Sore Mind Your Place or Mine 29 Dawn Dutch Mice Tough 30 Dawn Dutch Mice Tough Don’t Touch My Stuff 31 Hoop Side Hid Dit Toe Gain 32 Hoop Side Hid Dit Toe Gain Oops I Did It Again 33 Rot Into Thick Core 34 Rot Into Thick Core Rotten to the Core 35 Thief Act Huff Mat Her 36 Thief Act Huff Mat Her The Fact of the Matter 37 Whole Imp Pig Gains 38 Whole Imp Pig Gains Olympic Games 39 Sea Yule Hater 40 Sea Yule Hater See You Later! 41 Heap Herb High Deed Does Hen 42 Heap Herb High Deed Does Hen Cheaper by the Dozen 43 Why Hem Sea Hay 44 Why Hem Sea Hay YMCA 45 Poise Tomb Hen 46 Poise Tomb Hen Boys to Men 47 Ache Inks High Sped 48 Ache Inks High Sped A King Size Bed 49 Honey Duck Hiss 50 Honey Duck Hiss I Need a Kiss 51 Day Kid Bow We 52 Day Kid Bow We David Bowie 53 Ease Ace Life Ox 54 Ease Ace Life Ox He’s a Sly Fox 55 App Pillow Fizz Sigh 56 App Pillow Fizz Sigh Apple of His Eye 57 Eight Wean Gull Any Size 58 Eight Wean Gull Any Size A Twinkle in His Eyes 59 Of Lions Quarrel 60 Of Lions Quarrel A Flying Squirrel 61 Why Tail Huff Hunt 62 Why Tail Huff Hunt White Elephant 63 Dew Wino Hue 64 Dew Wino Hue Do I Know You? We have medical circulating files which focus on the over 9,000 health-related readings with subjects from Acidity- Alkalinity to Weight Loss. We also have non-medical circulating files on a broad range of topics, for example Egypt: Sphinx, Pyramids, and Hall of Records, Fear and Its Far- Reaching Effects, Advice to Parents, Serving in Accord with Ideals, and Business Advice. Each circulating file is simply a collection of reading quotes or full readings given for different individuals on a similar subject or disease. The A.R.E. cannot and does not suggest treatments for physical ailments nor make claims about the effectiveness of the therapies. We encourage anyone working with the health readings to do so under a doctor's care and advice. The circulating files support the research aspect of the Cayce work. We appreciate any feedback informing us of progress made in improving one’s life or achieving good health by applying suggestions given in the readings. • The Charismatic Leadership and Cultural Legacy of Stan Lee
REINVENTING THE AMERICAN SUPERHERO: THE CHARISMATIC LEADERSHIP AND CULTURAL LEGACY OF STAN LEE Hazel Homer-Wambeam Junior Individual Documentary Process Paper: 499 Words !1 “A different house of worship A different color skin A piece of land that’s coveted And the drums of war begin.” -Stan Lee, 1970 THESIS As the comic book industry was collapsing during the 1950s and 60s, Stan Lee utilized his charismatic leadership style to reinvent and revive the superhero phenomenon. By leading the industry into the “Marvel Age,” Lee has left a multilayered legacy. Examples of this include raising awareness of social issues, shaping contemporary pop-culture, teaching literacy, giving people hope and self-confidence in the face of adversity, and leaving behind a multibillion dollar industry that employs thousands of people. TOPIC I was inspired to learn about Stan Lee after watching my first Marvel movie last spring. I was never interested in superheroes before this project, but now I have become an expert on the history of Marvel and have a new found love for the genre. Stan Lee’s entire personal collection is archived at the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center in my hometown. It contains 196 boxes of interviews, correspondence, original manuscripts, photos and comics from the 1920s to today. This was an amazing opportunity to obtain primary resources. !2 RESEARCH My most important primary resource was the phone interview I conducted with Stan Lee himself, now 92 years old. It was a rare opportunity that few people have had, and quite an honor! I use clips of Lee’s answers in my documentary.

  • Canadian Guiding Badges and Insignia Brownie Six/Circle Emblems
Canadian Guiding Badges And Insignia Brownie Six/Circle Emblems Following the introduction of the Brownie program to provide Guiding for younger girls, and after the decision to base the new program on The Brownie Story, a further decision was made in 1919 to subdivide a Brownie Pack into smaller groups consisting of six girls. These smaller groups within the Pack were known as Sixes and were identified by a Six emblem bearing the name of some mythical fairy- like person from folklore. [Reference: POR (British, 1919)] The original Six emblems were brown felt; later versions were brown cotton with the edges bound in brown. In 1995, the term “Sixes” was replaced by the term “Circles”, and the shape of the emblems was changed as well. In 1972, three of the original twelve Six emblems were retired and in 1995 four new ones were added. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to quantify the carcinogenic compound safrole in the traditional preparation method of making sassafras tea from the root of Sassafras albidum. The traditional method investigated was typical of preparation by members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and other Appalachian peoples. Sassafras is a tree common to the eastern coast of the United States, especially in the mountainous regions. Historically and continuing until today, roots of the tree are used to prepare fragrant teas and syrups.

Earth-717: Avengers Vol 1 Chapter 10: Suicide Mission “My, my, my! To have so many of our friends together in the same place! I know that it is under quite distressing circumstances, but still, it's wonderful to have such a congregation!” Steve, Tasha, Thor, Bruce, Carol, Reed, Susan, Johnny, Ben and Herbie were all in one of the hangars on board the Valiant. The Rogue One had been moved from the Senatorium to the Valiant earlier that day, and Tasha had finished installing her new upgrade to the ship. Hundreds of other Nova pilots and officers were moving around the hangar, preparing for the battle ahead. Herbie bounced up and down as he looked around at the group. “To see the Fantastic Four ready to go into battle alongside such brave and noble heroes like yourselves! It is truly remarkable, is it not, Doctor Richards?” “It sure is,” said Reed. “You've got quite a team.” “Put it together at the last minute,” said Tasha. “Since somebody decided that they wanted an interstellar vacation at the worst possible time.” “Hey!” said Johnny. “Wasn't my fault! Blame these guys! I just went along for the ride!” Ben gave Johnny a light smack on the back of the head. “Nobody asked you, junior.” Johnny grumbled as he tried to fix his hair. Reed laughed before looking back Steve. “Don't suppose you'd like to tell me how I'm standing across from Captain America?” “I guess that a man of science like yourself would be interested in that sort of thing,” said Steve.

After the ‘discovery’ of African pygmies in the 1860s, little people became a powerful way of imaginatively connecting to an inconceivably distant past, and the place of humans within it. Little people in fin de siècle narratives have been commonly interpreted as atavistic, stunted warnings of biological reversion. I suggest that there are other readings available: by deploying two nineteenth-century anthropological theories – E. B. Tylor’s doctrine of ‘survivals’, and euhemerism, a model proposing that the mythology surrounding fairies was based on the existence of real ‘little people’ – they can also be read as positive symbols of the tenacity of the human spirit, and as offering access to a sacred, spiritual, or magic, world.
