This beautiful house with a separate self- contained annex has been a much loved family home for many years and whilst it has been well maintained it does now require some modernising and updating to create a truly wonderful home. There are many superb original features including beams, sash windows and fireplaces. On the ground floor is a welcoming hallway with stone flagged floor, the reception room has a lovely cosy feel with open fireplace, beams and a separate snug area, the dining room is a wonderfully bright room with fireplace and a bay window overlooking the stunning gardens, there is also a separate snug room off the hallway. The kitchen is fitted with a range of country style units with a separate breakfast area which opens to the veranda which is ideal for outside dining. Upstairs is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a guest double bedroom, bathroom and a single bedroom. On the top floor are a further two bedrooms with a sitting area. To the side of the house is a separate one bedroom annex with sitting room and a kitchen/breakfast room. The gardens are really beautiful extending to approximately 0.58 acres, mostly laid to lawn with mature shrubberies and trees, there is a large sun terrace, outdoor heated swimming pool and vegetable garden. Weston Favell Village is widely regarded as one of the most desirable locations in Northampton, there is a parish church, village hall, two public houses, a tennis club and the Weston Favell shopping centre. Northampton town centre is easily accessible with mainline rail station to London. There are good state primary and secondary schooling in the area and private schools in Wellingborough and Northampton. I was immediately impressed by the layout and size of the rooms, as well as the sense of history and quirky features, including the original beams and doors. It’s full of wonky floors and there’s not a 90-degree angle to be found but that all adds to the abundance of charm and character,” says the current owner. “The location is fabulous too. Everything we need is easily accessible but when we come in through the gates, it feels like we’re in another world in the middle of nowhere and I’ve always felt safe and free. It’s easy to get to the centre of town where there is a good choice of shops and restaurants, as well as the renowned Derngate theatre. The village pub is very popular, and we enjoy walking around the grounds of nearby Castle Ashby or exploring the beautiful countryside. London is around an hour away by train, it really is the best of both worlds living here.” “I love spending time outdoors in our beautiful garden. The bluebell wood is a fabulous sea of blue in the spring and my husband was always very proud of the lines on the formal lawned area. The covered patio area by the kitchen is like an extension of the house and it’s ideal when we’re entertaining, even in the winter. The ha-ha wall is a lovely feature originally designed to keep the animals out of the rectory garden and our grandchildren have enjoyed harvesting the produce from the vegetable garden.” “The house is light and bright in the summer and really quite magical in the winter. It looks just like a Christmas card when it snows and it’s always warm and cosy, especially when we all gather together in front of the open fire after a Sunday lunch with our family. Arriving by car The HellermannTyton building is within close distance of the M1, A45, M40 and A14. The HellermannTyton building has dedicated staff and visitor parking bays outside the front of the building. Here you will also find wider disabled and assisted parking bays and charging points J15a for electric cars. Arriving by bus National and regional coach services operate to Northgate Bus Station, located in Northampton town centre. There are regular bus services running from the Town Centre or Northampton Railway Station (on Black Lion Hill) to the Claret Car Park 50 bus stop outside HellermannTyton. Stagecoach Bus service 50 makes 12 to 14 journeys each way during the day. 19 Alternatively Uno Bus services 19 and 19b return to Northampton 19b Train Station and Town Centre every 12-15 minutes. If you don’t mind a short 0.5 mile walk, many buses stop at the St James End, opposite Byfield Road Bus Stop and its a 10 minute walk from there to HellermannTyton. Arriving by bike If you choose to arrive by bike,. we have facilities on site to enable you to store your bike and equipment and have a shower to freshen up. There are many excellent cycle routes around Northampton.
