She was delighted to see many Exhibitors covering a wide range of services, and – at the afternoon’s Conference - a very warm welcome would be extended to the Attorney General, Dominic GRIEVE, QC, MP and Assistant Chief Constable – Richard BENNETT. The SLA (Service Level Agreement) with TVP had still to be finalised by TV NHWA. The TV NHWA website (www.tvnhwa.org.uk) continues to be developed and it was proving to be a source of much information for one and all in the Thames Valley Police Area. 2 Treasurer’s Report - The Statement of Accounts was presented by IMcP confirming the Bank Balance as at 1 JANUARY 2014 as £ 15,473.73 It was stressed that £ 10,000 of this balance represented the grant from the Thames Valley Police Commissioner, which was on deposit at the Bank, and was earmarked for expansion of NHW Schemes, and leaflet production. The sale of both Personal Alarms and SmartWater continued to be an essential source of revenue for the Association, although in the last year, sales had not be as buoyant as previously. The auditor – Brian HILL – was re-elected for the coming year. /4 4/ 4 Election of Officers and Committee – the Officers and Committee were re-elected en bloc Val McPHERSON – Chairman Oscar HUBERT – Vice Chairman Ian McPHERSON – Treasurer Naomi ARNOLD – Secretary John BAILES – Committee Member Keith BROOKS – Committee Member Richard CONWAY-HYDE – Committee Member Malcolm DENTON - Committee Member Ken GOOD – Committee Member and Webmaster Trevor HOUSE – Committee Member Tony KING – Committee Member Colin MEADS- Committee Member Angela MONEY – Committee Member Geoff PEGG – Committee Member Ray WOODYEAR – Committee Member 5 TV NHWA Website – Colin MEADS gave a demonstration of the website and comments and feedback were invited and welcomed. …… Conference A number of Speakers addressed the conference, including Dominic GRIEVE, Attorney General, QC, MP – who spoke about the duties of his office, and the judicial system and sentencing Assistant Chief Constable Richard BENNETT – who quoted an extensive range of statistics concerning crime in the Thames Valley Chris HOLDEN – from Bucks Trading Standards - spoke about a number of doorstep crimes and scams A number of NHW Co-ordinators spoke about the various ways in which their NHW Schemes were operated. TV NHWA Conference Awards Ceremony Awards Ceremony A number of certificates recognising Outstanding Service to Neighbourhood Watch were presented by Assistant Chief Constable Richard BENNETT on behalf of Thames Valley Neighbourhood Watch Association David AUDCENT – Downley, Bucks Eve BARRY – Milton Keynes, Bucks Sandy HENRY - Milton Keynes, Bucks /5 5/ Trevor HOUSE – Didcot, Oxon.
