Your Nature Travel representative will meet you in your hotel, at 2.30 p.m. You shall receive detailed maps and vast, constantly updated description of the daily sections. You will get your bicycles the next day at the start of the tour. Day one: bicycle free The medieval Gdańsk Individual arrival to your hotel in Gdańsk. After the meeting with our representative at 14:30 a guided tour of the Old Town is scheduled. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Gdańsk. Day two: ca. 55 km by bike, ca. 1 hour by train The mightiest medieval castle of Europe After breakfast, you will take the train to Malbork. There you will tour Europe’s biggest medieval fortress – the capital of the Teutonic Order. In the afternoon your first bicycle trip to Elbląg will begin (beautiful landscape along the way). Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Elbląg. Day three: ca. 40 km by bike The Vistula Lagoon and Frombork Today you will cycle to Frombork - the town of Nicolaus Copernicus. We recommend the tour of the Cathedral (optional). On your way you will be able to take a first look on the Vistula Lagoon. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Frombork. Day four: ca. 50 km by bike The cycle tour on former railway line After breakfast you have free time. About noon bicycle trip to Braniewo (ca. 18 km) and then you will take a train to Orneta. From there you cycle to Lidzbark Warmiński. Next day you can tour the castle of the Warmian bishops (optional). Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Lidzbark Warmiński. Day five: ca. 72 km by bike The rattling storks in Masuria In the morning you will cycle to Kętrzyn. You will pass many picturesque villages where the silence is interrupted only by the stork rattling. On the way you can tour Święta Lipka (optional), an important pilgrim church built in the 17th century. It is possible to shorten this day's bicycle trip (optional). Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Kętrzyn. Day six: ca. 60 km by bike On the way to Giżycko This day you will ride to Wilkasy, in the Giżycko area. On your way, in Gierłoż, you can tour the code start famous "Wolf's lair" – Adolf Hitler’s headquarters during World War II (optional). Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Giżycko. Day seven: bicycle free Summer residence of Masuria This day you have a choice: you can have a beautiful bicycle trip (ca. 50 km) around the Masurian lakes or you have the day to yourself. Dinner and accommodation as on day 6. Day eight: ca. 10-50 km by bike Mikolajki – Venice of the North To avoid the crowded roads we recommend a beautiful cruise on the Masurian lakes. The lakes are connected by numerous canals (optional – the cruise to Mikołajki takes about 3 hours). In Mikołajki, a picturesque port, you will have enough free time to familiarize yourself with the city. After that you will cycle to your hotel. Accommodation and dinner in a hotel in the Mikołajki area. By bike – with cruise ca. 10 km, or ca. 50 km without the cruise. Day nine: ca. 25 km by bike The most beautiful paddling tour in Masuria This day’s cycling programme offers a bike trip through the Masurian Landscape Park to Krutyń. In the afternoon you can go paddling on the Krutynia river (optional). On this day we recommend to go on a hike at Mokre lake (ca. 10 km). Dinner and accommodation in a boarding house in Krutyń. Day ten Goodbye to Masuria Transfer by local bus to Warsaw and a guided tour of the Old Town. The tour ends at 4 p.m. Individual departure. Condition of roads: A variety of landscaping: slightly hilly (on the Elbląg Heights up to 200 meters, in Masuria up to 150 meters), gentle slopes. Sandy field- and forest roads, sometimes cobblestone, but mostly asphalt roads. Services: • Accommodation in double or single rooms with bathrooms and WC, in hotels/boarding houses • Meals: breakfast and warm dinner each day; vegetarian meals are possible upon earlier notice (please let us know if you eat fish) • First meal upon the day of arrival: dinner • Last meal upon the day of departure: breakfast • Guided tours of Gdańsk Old Town, Malbork Fortress, Warsaw Old Town (entry fees included) • Transfers included in the programme • Assistance hotline • Luggage transfer between your hotels • Maps of the area and detailed descriptions of the daily sections with GPS tracks • Minimum number of participants: 6 people Price 2021 – from Gdańsk to Warsaw 1 person in double room/ HB/all services: 770 Euro Single room surcharge: 150 Euro Bicycle rental: 70 Euro - Unisex bikes are equipped with 7 Shimano gears and chain derailleur from Shimano, with pedal-brake - Each bike is equipped with two bags and a tool set (one set pro room). Electric bike/ pedelec (on former request): 160 Euro - Electric bikes are equipped with 7 gears and V-brake. Please be aware that electric motor is only the help to standard ride. One battery loading is efficient for about 70-90 km, it depends on the used programme while the way (Eco, Sport, Turbo) - Each bike is equipped with two bags and a tool set (one set pro room). Since in the route descriptions we give the distance in kilometres, we recommend to bring your own cyclometer. It allows to cycle without any problems. It is also possible to rent a cyclometer from us, which costs 10 Euro per bike (incl. installation). Please let us know upon booking your trip, if you wish to rent our cyclometer.
