"The energy is so high throughout the weekend. It's a euphoric experience. I was an orientation leader for three years. I wanted to make the students know they were a special piece of GU. Plus getting to go through the serpentine four straight years was a blast." Josh White'15 Political Science & History The spirit of Jesuit ideals is infused everything we do here at Gonzaga. Our school owes its very existence to the • Jesuit passion for education. This spirit ripples outward and touches every aspect of the Gonzaga experience. The annual Pilgrimage (right) and Mass of the Holy Spirit bind us together as Zags, but more importantly as compassionate human beings. "Mass of the Holy Spirit is truly an occasion for the entire campus. I was blessed to be a part of it," said senior Vinny Sonderby (pictured below).

017 For the last 127 years Gonzaga has begun the new school year with the Mass of the Holy Spirit, and this year was no different. On Wednesday, Sept. 17, students, faculty and staff gathered to hear the sermon given by Bishop Blase Cupich. Cupich was the bishop of the Diocese of Spokane from 2010 until this year, when he was sleeted by Pope Francis to be the Archbishop of Chicago. Q: Favorite on-campus activity

COFFEE is a weekly event hosted by GSBA in the Crosby Student Center where live student and local bands perform Throughout the year there were 22 shows, all coordinated by GSBA Coffehouse Chair Meghan Montelibano This was the last year Coffeehouse will be held in Crosby. The last show, called the Final Jam, was a special event on April 29 held outside on the Crosby steps and hosted 600 students. Coffeehouse averages a student audience of 200. This year Montelibano said she tried to diversify the genres, hosting a 7-piece soul band and Coffeehouse's first ever rappers. Some of the year's acts included Golden Means Katros, The Candlelight Collective and Tossed Ballad.

i . +*» The mission of the Bulldog Battalion is to produce leaders of character to serve for our Nation's common defense and motivate young people to become better citizens. The program has established a well earned reputation as one of the top ROTC programs in the contry. This ranking is based on numerous measures, such as academic performance, Leadership Development and Assessment Course scores (formerly NALC), and the number of Lieutenants commissioned each year. The Battalion's annual Leader's Training Course, for sophomores and juniors, is the first leadership program of its kind in the United States. The intense four- week introduction to Army life and leadership training qualifies Cadets for entry into the Senior ROTC program. This course provides confidence and discernment abilities for Cadets to become leaders in the Army and in their lives.

Preparation for the Men's games begins the Sunday before each game. lag fans line up at the McCarthey Athletic Center to register their ID cards. If tickets run out a wait list is created. A few days before the game the Kennel Club sends out a tweet at 12:15pm announcing the location for tent number distribution. It is first come, first serve, so students race to the location to compete for the coveted tent #1. Tents are set up one or two nights before the game on Foley lawn in the order they were distributed. Each tent houses six students, and at least one person has to be in the tent at all times. The lowest tent numbers are first in line to enter McCarthey on game day. The most diehard lag fans are the ones to gain courtside seats.
