November 4, 2020 Lausanne, Switzerland Two-time World bronze medalist Boyang Jin headlines the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating - SHISEIDO Cup of China Two-time World bronze medalist Boyang Jin (CHN) and two-time Four Continents medalists Cheng Peng/Yang Jin (CHN) headline the Shiseido Cup of China in Chongqing (CHN) November 6 to 8, 2020. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating events are primarily domestically run events with domestic skaters and skaters who train in the host country or respective geographical region. Overview over the contenders In the Men’s event Jin is the top favorite. He will compete against Han Yan (CHN), who continues his comeback he started a year ago with a silver medal at Cup of China. Also competing are the internationally experienced He Zhang (CHN) and Yudong Chen (CHN). The Ladies event includes World and Four Continents competitor Hongyi Chen (CHN) as well as Four Continents competitor Lu Zheng (CHN) and newcomers such as Siyang Zhang (CHN). Peng/Jin are joined by World Junior competitors Yuchen Wang/Yihang Huang (CHN) and the new team of Daizifei Zhu/Yuhang Liu (CHN) in the Pairs event. 2018 Olympians Shiyue Wang/Xinyu Liu (CHN) lead the Ice Dance event that also includes Four Continents competitors Hong Chen/Zhuoming Sun (CHN) and Wangqi Ning/Chao Wang (CHN). Overall 27 Chinese Skaters / Couples will compete at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating SHISEIDO Cup of China. The ISU, in consultation with all stakeholders and considering the pandemic developments, is evaluating the continuation of the 2020/21 season, in particular the re-scheduling possibilities for the important Olympic Test Events. About ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series started in 1995 (previously known a s the ISU Champions Series) and consists of six invitational international senior events and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.
