It was the sixth consecutive 8 FCS National Titles season that the SoCon average was higher than the national rate for Division I. • Ten Southern Conference’s sports (football, basketball, men’s cross country, men’s 13 SoCon Titles Won By Furman indoor track and fi eld, men’s outdoor track and fi eld, wrestling, women’s cross country, women’s indoor and outdoor track and volleyball) topped the national average in Divi- 16 FCS Title Game Appearances sion I. • A total of 35 SoCon teams representing eight different schools earned the Public 19 NCAA Postgraduate Scholars Recognition Award from the NCAA.
