Reference: Written Evidence of Union Gas, A.2, page 3. Preamble: The evidence states that “The Union system forms direct interconnections with six pipelines (three of which are TransCanada lines), providing access to over 15 pipelines and market areas.” Request: (a) Please provide a schematic of the Union system and its interconnections, and identify the referenced six pipelines that directly connect to Union and the routes that provide access to over 15 pipelines and market areas. (b) Please provide the capacities of the six pipelines as well as the fifteen pipelines mentioned and the amount of that capacity that is under long term (one year or longer) contracts (regardless of who holds the contracts) on each of the six and fifteen pipelines. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Response: (a) Please see attached map of Union's system. The six pipelines referenced actually number seven and include Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company, Vector Pipeline, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, TransCanada/Great Lakes Gas Transmission at Dawn, TransCanada at Parkway, TransCanada at Kirkwall and Bluewater Pipeline. (b) Please refer to RH-3-2004, TransCanada’s response to CAPP 3 (a) for the capacities into Dawn. The capacities under contract by each pipeline may be available on their website. In response to the IESO’s request for proposals (RFP) for phase one of the large renewable procurement (LRP I), Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES Canada) is proposing a wind energy project, to be known as the Falconbridge Wind Farm project, which would be located in the City of Greater Sudbury (see Figure 1). The project is expected to be up to 150MW in size, include a transformer substation, low-voltage electrical collector lines, access roads, and a transmission line and construction laydown and work areas. The RFP I LRP requires that specific activities be undertaken prior to submitting a proposal to the IESO.
