Campus Center Connections

Campus Center Connections based out of the information desk on the first floor of the Campus Center near the main (podium) entrance. As a “one-stop-shop”, our services include:  General University Information  Recreational and Gaming Opportunities  Lost and Found  Phone Charger Rental  Give a Book, Take a Book  Event Support  Co-sponsorship Opportunities  Free Nightly Popcorn

Hours of Operation

Monday: 8:00am – 12:00am Tuesday: 8:00am – 12:00am Wednesday: 8:00am – 12:00am Thursday: 8:00am – 12:00am Friday: 8:00am – 12:00am Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00am Sunday: 10:00am – 10:00pm

Lost and Found

The Campus Center Connections information desk also serves as a lost and found. If you find an item, please stop by the desk to turn it in.

If you lost an item, please stop by the desk to see if it has been turned in. We will not contact you if we receive your lost item but feel free to check with us as much as you would like.

All valuable items (phones, wallets, credit cards, licenses) will be given to UPD. Contact UPD at (518) 442-3130.

SUNY Cards will be given to the SUNY Card office in Campus Center B-52.

Student Organization Tabling

If you have a reservation to table come to the Campus Center Connections information desk to check-in and get your assigned table. You must arrive before 11:00am.

If you do not have a reservation to table, there may be an opening after 11:00am.

You can reserve your table through Virtual EMS at http://uaems.albany.edu/virtualems/

Tabling occurs Monday-Friday from 9:30am-5:00pm.

Billiards

There are two pool tables located in the West Lounge on the first floor of the Campus Center.

Pool sticks and balls can be signed out at the information desk with a student ID.

Pool sticks are replaced at the beginning of each semester. Their condition is up to you!

Ping Pong

There are two ping pong tables located in the West Lounge on the first floor of the Campus Center.

Paddles can be signed out at the information desk with a student ID. Balls can be purchased for $0.25 at the machine near the tables.

Cost for Damaged Equipment

When equipment is returned damaged, the borrower assumes liability. The cost associated with each piece of equipment is listed below:

Pool Sticks: $12.00 Ping Pong Paddle: $12.00 Pool Ball Caddy: $5.00

Board Games

Board games are located on the book shelf in the Transfer/Commuter Lounge. These games are available for your use any time the Campus Center is open. Please keep the games in the Campus Center and be courteous to your fellow students by ensuring the games remain in good condition.

If you would like to donate, please drop of your gently used board games to Jessica Krupski in CC 137.

Video Games

Xbox 360 Elite, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii gaming systems are available. These games are available for your use any time the Campus Center is open. You may bring your own games or use one of ours.

Tournaments

Campus Center Connections holds various bracket style gaming tournaments including ping pong, billiards, and board games as well as trivia. Each winner will be awarded a prize.

If you are interested in participating, please inquired and sign up at the Campus Center Connections information desk.

Connections Card

If you are a frequent user of our gaming equipment, get a connection card! With ten card punches, you will receive a prize (limit to 3 per semester). Available and redeemable at the front desk (example below).

Possible through the generous support of UAS

Phone Chargers iPhone and Android chargers can be signed out for a maximum time of 24 hours at the information desk with a student ID.

If the charger is lost or damaged, the student will be charged $20.00.

Give a Book, Take a Book Library

In the Transfer/Commuter Lounge, you will find a Give a Book, Take a Book Library. Feel free to donate any gently used books for others to enjoy.

Co-Sponsorship Opportunities

Co-sponsoring a program with Campus Center Connections offers access to Campus Center lounge space, free use of the popcorn machine, and cross promotion opportunities with Campus Center Connections. If you are interested in co-sponsoring an event, please email [email protected] or Jessica Krupski at [email protected].

Events

Campus Center Connections supports student organization events. We help staff the following events:

Performances Ballroom Parties Probates/Surfacing Banquets Pageants Fashion Shows Off-Campus Bus Stops

If you are interested in requesting student staff for an event visit the Campus Center Management page on MyInvolvement and submit an “Event Staff Request Form”.

Employment Opportunities

If you are interested in apply to join the staff, please apply through the Campus Center Management page on MyInvolvement. Applications for the Fall semester will go live in April and applications for the Spring semester will go live in November.
