For those attendees coming from the lower 48, Canada and Mexico, the Expo serves as a great way to shake off winter, compare notes on personal adventures planned for the summer and/or those adventures planned for a lifetime. The Hansons differentiate an expedition—a “jour- ney with a purpose”—from overlanding, which is where the journey is the purpose. "Ford Model AA Oil Tanker Truck" 1930 Ford Model AA 185A Platform Rated: 1-1/2 Ton Motor: 4 Cylinder, 201 CID, 40 HP 6 Volt Battery w/positive ground Brakes: Mechanical Tire Size: High Pressure 32-6 Transmission: 4 Speed Manual non synchronized Fuel Capacity: 11 Gal. Gasoline Truck Body: Briggs and Murray Cargo Body: Columbia Steel Tank Co. Steel Tank Capacity: 625 Gal. Features: Rear cantilever leaf springs Wheel Rims: Bud 5 hole Rear End Type: Single Axle, ring and pinion differential w/dual tires Wheel Base: 157" Service trucks were used for many purposes. This Tanker Truck had three separate internal tanks for different fuels. The most common fuel used was gasoline, kerosene, for lamps, and fuel oil for home furnaces. Each tank could be dispensed independently. All Model AA chassis had wood mounted on the chassis before any structure was added. The five hole steel wheels, produced by the Bud Wheel CO. were specifically designed to allow a dual wheel application without tires rubbing on each other. The differential used a ring and pinion rather than a worm gear used in the Model T. This allowed more speed for the vehicle. The transmission is a four speed manual type with reverse. The transmission was not synchronized and used a different gear ratio, than the Ford Model A standard, to allow more torque for moving heavy loads. Radiators for the Model AA trucks had four cores for cooling rather than the standard three core radiators, used on Model A automobiles. Donated by: Tim Kelley - New Canaan, CT In many cities and towns, oil products were delivered from the oil refineries by railroad.

  • Adenauer Holt Ford Nach Köln
Auto-Medienportal.

My son Matthew and I with my first Aston Martin There is an aura about Aston Martin, a heritage far beyond simple statistics. Winning at Le Mans, victory in the World Sportscar Championship, the Zagatos and Royal patronage would be enough for any car manufacturer. Aston Martin goes beyond that – every car has its character and every owner, real pride in his or her car. Any market place has pitfalls for the unwary and opportunities for the unscrupulous. What I have tried to produce is an overview of Aston Martin cars that can act as an introduction to the marque.

  • Vehicle Theft Prevention Quick Reference Guide for the LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY FOREWORD
•2014• Vehicle Theft Prevention Quick Reference Guide FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY FOREWORD The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is responsible for establishing and enforcing vehicle antitheft regulations. Motor vehicle theft is a growing problem that results in billions of dollars in losses every year. NHTSA has developed this annual guide to provide the law enforcement community with a concise reference tool to help identify passenger motor vehicles that have been exempted from the parts-marking requirements through model year 2014, and also to assist law enforcement in its prosecution and motor vehicle theft prevention efforts. This updated Vehicle Theft Prevention Quick Reference Guide for the Law Enforcement Community provides a quick- reference, comprehensive summary of the vehicles that have been installed with antitheft devices as standard equipment, identifying which vehicles are exempted from the parts-marking requirements, the type of exemption granted (partial or full), and the production years for which the exemptions apply. This guide gives comprehensive information for vehicle lines based on the amendment to the parts-marking requirements. The parts-marking requirements have been extended to include • all passenger cars, • all multipurpose passenger vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings of 6,000 pounds or less, • all light-duty trucks with gross vehicle weight ratings of 6,000 pounds or less determined to be high-theft, and • all low-theft, light-duty trucks with gross vehicle weight ratings of 6,000 pounds or less having a majority of their major parts interchangeable with those of a passenger motor vehicle line subject to the theft prevention standard.
