* Add $1.00 to postage if a license plate must be mailed from the Special License Unit in Little Rock to the applicant.

When transferring a current license plate to a higher weight class, the difference between the two registration fees will be charged. For example the tag is registered to a vehicle that weighs 2,800 lbs. with a $17.00 registration fee and is being transferred to a higher weight class vehicle that weighs 3,400 lbs. with a $25.00 registration fee. In addition to the $1.00 transfer fee, $8.00 will be charged for the difference in the weight classes. No refunds are given when going down in weight class.
