Ovviamente non è in discussione la sopravvivenza di tanti sfortunati animali, che vanno tutelati, ma la necessità di ridurre l' esborso, soprattutto con le casse municipali sono semivuote. Su questo stanno lavorando da settimane a palazzo dei Priori. Una strada potrebbe essere quella della rinegoziazione dei contratti co i tre canili privati. Il paradosso è che il punto a favore di Gigi è il contratto, un 2° ultimo anno garantito da 1 milione e 750 mila dollari, più ricco rispetto a quello dei "rivali". Peraltro, se oggi davvero dovesse essere tagliato, Datome potrebbe scegliere liberamente dove giocare, giacché quei soldi li intascherebbe comunque. Di sicuro Milano e Sassari potrebbero farsi avanti. Ma anche Roma dove Gigi ha lasciato il cuore. Però Gigi potrebbe rimpiangere la rinuncia estiva al Barcellona, una delle favori te in Eurolega. Del resto voleva proprio dimostrare di meritare un posto di là. E' che non gli hanno permesso di dimostrarlo. Restando di là, difficilmente avrà spazio, dovrà strappare minuti con i denti. e' il destino di tanti giocatori nel campionato più bello e però crudele del mondo. Laddove per chi non è stella contano soprattutto le situazioni, il posto in cui finisci. E se ci arrivi a 25 anni hai poco tempo per metterti in mostra e lavorare.
