ST ALBANS CATHEDRAL This is a beautiful 11th century cathedral built on the oldest site of continuous worship in England. It is one of the centrepieces of the town. 01 YE OLDE FIGHTING COCKS - THE OLDEST PUB IN THE COUNTRY This dates back to the 8th Century. The pub today was built in the 11th Century. The name is the result of cock fighting taking place in the main bar in the late 19th and early 20th 02 Century. A lovely, old English pub to visit. ST ALBANS CLOCK TOWER The clock tower is an example of medieval belfry. From a thriving centre with great shopping, restaurants and nightlife, to theatres and award winning parks - there's plenty to do in Watford. CASSIOBURY PARK Voted as one of the top 10 parks in the UK, Cassiobury Park is the jewel of Watford. This Green Flag award-winning beauty spot has a lot of history behind it. A great spot to check out. Watford itself has also been granted more Green Flag Awards than anywhere else in Herts. 01 WATFORD COLOSSEUM AND WATFORD PALACE THEATRE The Colosseum is famous for having some of the best acoustics in the country. It is also where the soundtracks to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars were recorded. The Palace Theatre is an Edwardian theatre and is considered a creative 02 hub of Watford. LEAVESDEN FILM STUDIOS Warner Brothers Studios, Leavensden is a studio complex that has been used for a wide range of Hollywood film productions. Part of the site is open to the public and has the Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour. Here they have costumes and sets from the films which were produced 03 here.
