Support the Transportation & Climate Initiative (TCI) in Rhode Island (H6310/S0872) TCI is a regional effort to significantly cut pollution, invest in clean transportation, and improve the health of our communities. Since transportation is RI’s largest source of climate-warming emissions, it is vital to participate in TCI to meet the goals established by the Act On Climate. Here’s what participation in TCI can offer Rhode Island: • Investing $20 million annually in clean transportation options • Saving $100 million in health benefits from cleaner air and more walking/biking • Achieving 15% of the emissions reductions mandated by Act On Climate for 2030 • Directing 35% of TCI proceeds to communities overburdened by air pollution and underserved by the existing system • Read more about the benefits of TCI here.
