During the course of the season, there will be a total of seven weekends that will consist of all eight member teams engaged in WCHA play. They are Dec. 11-13, Jan. 15-17, Jan. 22-23, Jan. 29-31, Feb. 5-8, Feb. 12-13 and Feb. 19-20. The league regular season schedule concludes Feb. 20. The first round of WCHA Playoffs, a best-of-three series format at campus locations, will be contested Friday, Feb. 26, Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday, Feb. 28 (if necessary). • The Badgers split two games on the road last weekend (Oct. 10-11), dropping a 1-0 decision to Bemidji State last Saturday in Coleraine, Minn., and bouncing back to score a 3-1 victory on Sunday at Bemidji. • The Badgers dropped their second game of the season, matching its loss total from the entire 2008-09 season, on its first road trip of the season. • After splitting the series with Bemidji State the all-time series moves to 40-2-2 in favor of Wisconsin. The victory was only the second for Bemidji State all-time against the Badgers, and the first since Dec. 9, 2001. • The Badgers now have a bye weekend after starting the season with two series splits. • The Badgers’ 2-2-0 record is the worst to start a season since the first season of the program when they started 1-2-1. • The Badgers scored their first power-play goal last Sunday against BSU. Kelly Nash had the Badgers’ first power-play goal. UW is now 1-of-19 on the man-advantage. • However, Wisconsin has successfully killed off all 19 penalties, not giving up any power-play goals in four games. • Both of UW’s have each recorded a 1-1-0 record, splitting the first two series. Freshman Becca Ruegsegger had a shutout in her first collegiate start and then let in only one goal against Bemidji State which proved too much. In two games Ruegsegger has 42 saves and a .977 saves percentage. Senior Alannah McCready has allowed three goals holding a .946 saves percentage with 53 saves. • The Badgers have netted six goals on 144 shot attempts this season.
