Do you play sports? Yes. I played football, , and travel soccer in high school. I also played lacrosse in college and professionally for the Long Island Lizards (now called the New York Lizards). I’ve had both ACL (anterior cruciate ligament, which helps to stabilize the knee joint) and elbow surgery, so I know what patients are looking for in their surgical and sports medicine care. How has your experience as an athlete affected the way you treat patients? As a former athlete with my fair share of injuries, I think I have a unique perspective on the doctor-patient interaction. I have sat on the other side with injuries needing surgery.
