Summer Semester 2020-2021

Applications are now open for interested UQ law students to participate in the Environmental Sustainability and the Law placement as part of LAWS5233 (Transnational Perspectives in Law). This elective law course is run by the Law School in partnership with a Malaysian-based NGO, Future Law. Six UQ law students will be selected to participate in the program, which will commence in December 2020 and will run for a period of six weeks over the Summer Semester.

Students will meet virtually each day of the program with Future Law staff (2-3 days per week, over the course of 6 weeks) to attend workshops, seminars, and discuss work. A workspace will also be made available at UQ for students to undertake the meetings and work collaboratively on allocated projects.
