Make checks payable to NYSOPRHP . Include payment with a self-addressed and self-stamped envelope Cancellations o Cancellations made 8 days prior to scheduled arrival date will result in a revenue credit equal to the original payment less the non-refundable reservation fee and the applicable reservation cancellation fee. No additional (agency) service or proceeding fees shall be assessed. o Cancellations made less than 8 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will result in a revenue credit equal to the original payment amount less the non-refundable reservation fee, the applicable reservation cancellation fee, and an additional fee equivalent to one-night’s transient fee (to include all surcharges, and electric fees as applicable). o For “early outs”, the amount of the revenue credit shall be determined in the same manner as cancellations (including the one-night penalty and applicable processing fees). o Late arrivals and no shows are not eligible to receive revenue credit. Check –in o All boaters must check in at the office before occupying the slip. o Check in time is 3pm. o Check out time is 11am following the last night of your stay. Marina Policies and Procedures o Boat trailer storage will be available in designated areas only. o The park reserves the right to assign or re-assign slips in order to efficiently utilize all available slips. o All park rules and regulations as well as applicable State and Federal rules and regulations will be observed. Parks reserves the right to terminate, without prior notice or refund, any permit issued when rules and regulations are violated. o Pet owners must present a current Certificate of Rabies Vaccination for all pets at the time of registration. All pets must be caged or under control on a 6 foot maximum leash at all times. o Water and electrical accessories must be approved by the Park Manager. Water may not be available during early or late season . Modification of park electric equipment and supply is prohibited o The permit holder assumes all risks related to this permit and shall be solely responsible and answerable for in damages for all accidents or injuries to persons or property, and hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify and keep harmless the People of the State of New York; Office of Parks, Recreation and historic Preservation; their officers and employees; from any and all claims, whether direct or indirect, arising out of the operation of this permit, or the carelessness, negligence or improper conduct of the Permit holder or any servant, agent or employee thereof. o The office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation shall not be responsible for property damage or personal injury to the Permit Holder, or any person upon the premises at the invitation of the Permit holder. Legislative findings and purpose. The legislature finds the 2 New York state parks, and natural and cultural lands under state manage- 3 ment which began with the Niagara Reservation in 1885 embrace unique, 4 superlative and significant resources. They constitute a major source of 5 pride, inspiration and enjoyment of the people of the state, and have 6 gained international recognition and acclaim. 7 Establishment of the State Council of Parks by the legislature in 1924 8 was an act that created the first unified state parks system in the 9 country. By this act and other means the legislature and the people of 10 the state have repeatedly expressed their desire that the natural and 11 cultural state park resources of the state be accorded the highest 12 degree of protection.

    Policy Title: Policy on the Possession of an Unloaded Firearm for the Purpose of Accessing Adjacent Lands for Lawful Hunting Purposes Directive: Section: OPR-POL-026 Operations Effective Date: 09/01/2016 Summary This Policy implements 9 NYCRR Section 375.1(p)(3), the regulation adopted by the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) that authorizes the Commissioner to establish a list a facilities where a person may possess an unloaded firearm for the purpose of accessing adjacent properties for lawful hunting purposes. (See Notice of Adoption and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published in the State Register on May 11, 2016 and January 27, 2016, respectively at http://docs.dos.ny.gov/info/register/2016/may11/pdf/rulemaking.pdf, at p.34 and http://docs.dos.ny.gov/info/register/2016/january27/pdf/rulemaking.pdf, at p.34). A Selection of Biodiversity Conservation Agencies & Programs A variety of state agencies and programs, in addition to the NY Natural Heritage Program, partner with OPRHP on biodiversity conservation and planning. This appendix also describes a variety of statewide and regional biodiversity conservation efforts that complement OPRHP’s work. NYS BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH INSTITUTE The New York State Biodiversity Research Institute is a state-chartered organization based in the New York State Museum who promotes the understanding and conservation of New York’s biological diversity. They administer a broad range of research, education, and information transfer programs, and oversee a competitive grants program for projects that further biodiversity stewardship and research. In 1996, the Biodiversity Research Institute approved funding for the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to undertake an ambitious inventory of its lands for rare species, rare natural communities, and the state’s best examples of common communities. The majority of inventory in state parks occurred over a five-year period, beginning in 1998 and concluding in the spring of 2003. Funding was also approved for a sixth year, which included all newly acquired state parks and several state parks that required additional attention beyond the initial inventory. The Adirondacks have 2 we have none. A reader poll was done on the website to gauge reaction to the museum. The reaction was very positive. iii. John has a slide show Imagine a Place, An inspirational slide show. It will be improved to be taken to various locations.
