AS PER BOARD MEETING 13.08.2020 4. CALF RECORDING 4.1 The Sires of progeny, born from 01.01.21, to be Calf Recorded are required to have a DNA Profile and be Pompes tested. A. Progeny of deceased natural sire parentage where the sire does not have a Pompes tested normal status, are required to be Pompes tested prior to sale or transfer. 14. GRADING UP OF UNREGISTERED CATTLE Introducing Commercial bulls and females into the Grading Up process. To be eligible bulls and females must complete the following: 1. 90% Breed DNA Test 2. Brahman Standard Bundle Test: o Including DNA Sire Verification o Including Pompes Testing result 3. If above is completed, a $5000 + GST fee is payable (includes registration fees) 4. Bulls or females from a Non-Member can have the stud prefix of the owner to register. 5. Animals are required to be registered with ABBA. Should these steps be completed the bull or female would be introduced as an Appendix C. The female progeny only from the Appendix C animals would be Appendix D females. The male and female progeny of Appendix D females crossed with a registered Brahman Bull would be purebred animals. AS PER BOARD MEETING 12.03.2020 9. Transfers 9.14 Calf recorded bulls sold at auction sales, may be registered and transferred to the new owner at the discretion of the first owner subject to payment of the prescribed fee. 6.2 Artificial Insemination Regulations For calves to be calf recorded from any AI Sire, whether the sire is used within member’s herd or semen is sold, the AI Sire needs to have a DNA Profile and Pompes Testing result on file. The Standard Bundle is the recommended test, however if one or the other tests has been completed, then the other test can be completed to finalise the process. a. Progeny of deceased AI sire parentage where the AI sire does not have a Pompes tested normal status, are required to be Pompes tested prior to sale or transfer. 7.3 Embryo Transfer and IVF For calves to be calf recorded from any Donor Female, whether the Donor Female is used within member’s herd or embryos are sold, the Donor Female needs to have a DNA Profile and Pompes Testing result on file. The Standard Bundle is the recommended test, however if one or the other tests has been completed, then the other test can be completed to finalise the process. a. Progeny of deceased Donor Female parentage, where the Donor Female does not have a Pompes tested normal status, are required to be Pompes tested prior to sale or transfer. AS PER ABBA BOARD MEETING 15.08.19 5.9 Registration Registration of Imported Animals. The Council may accept for registration into the Purebred section of the Associations Herd Database, an animal of pure Bos Indicus breeding registered with a recognized breed Association in an overseas country under the following conditions: 5.9 c. The animal has been tested in Australia and is confirmed free with the Brahman Comprehensive Bundle which provides a Genomic Profile (50k Chip markers) including Pompes E7 and Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome (CMS). 10. Sales 10.8 If a sale animal has been returned to the Vendor and full purchase price has been refunded, unless a share is given by the Vendor to the Buyer, no progeny can be registered. Regulations Reminder:

10.7 All animals registered in the Purebred section or females registered in the Appendix sections of the Associations Herd Database which are sold and to be transferred shall be registered in the Database with a known Pompes status of bred free or tested free. The Council may grant exemptions for family transfers and complete herd sales.
