Transitional Provision: Hockey Association For the 07-08 season, Female players whose parents are residents within the draw zone and who were last registered with Abbotsford MHA shall be permitted a onetime option to register with Abbotsford Female HA without having to process an Application for Player Movement under the "No Female Team" section. Abbotsford Female IHA shall supply the PCAHA Executive Director with a list of all players taking this option. Southern Boundaries - 0 Avenue, Eastern Boundaries - 276th Street (#1 Freeway to the Fraser River), 280th Street (0 Avenue north to the #1 Freeway), Western Boundaries - 232nd Street Arbutus Club Minor Section II - Draw Zones for Private Clubs Only - area of the City of Vancouver and the University Hockey Association Endowment Lands west of a line following Argyle Street (North Arm of Fraser River to 41st Avenue), 41st Avenue (Argyle Street to Fraser Street), Fraser Street (41st Avenue to Kingsway), Kingsway (Fraser Street to Broadway), Broadway (Kingsway to Burrard Street), and Burrard Street (Broadway to Burrard Inlet) Boundary Minor Hockey Starting at the point on the American border where the western boundary of the Kootenay- Association Boundary meet, following that boundary between the Kootenay-Boundary and Okanagan- Similkameen Regional Districts north to a point directly west of where Savnier Creek joints Wilkinson Creek and continuing east to Trapping Creek, northeast following Trapping Creek to the height of land at the head water and directly northeast following that boundary to the height of land to the east of Christian Valley road, south to Gable Mountain, turning southeast following the height of land west of the Granby River Crossing Highway No. 3 at Eholland continuing south to the American border, the American border will serve as the southern border. Following the South shore of Babine Lake going West to approximately 125 degrees – 50 minutes longitude then Southwest to Ailport Creek where it crosses Highway 16, then further Southwest to 54 degrees - 40 minutes latitude then due South to the next MHA Boundary. BC Hockey 6671 Oldfield Road Saanichton BC V8M 2A1 [email protected] www.bchockey.net Ph: 250.652.2978 Fax: 250.652.4536 MHA BOUNDARIES Campbell River Minor The area bounded to the south - along the Oyster River with a portion to the southwest Hockey Association extending into Strathcona Park; to the north - just north of Sayward including Kelsey Bay; to the northeast/east - including Blind Channel, Phillips Arm, Stuart Island, Read Island (Surge Narrows), Quadra Island and Cortes Island Canal Flats Minor North - Along Dutch Creek to where the two tributaries meet, then up the second one, Hockey Association east to the head waters of the Columbia River, then straight over the height of land to where the White River and the Elk Creek meet, down the White River to the East White fork. South - Along the Skookumchuck Creek to the Kootenay River, then a straight line over the height of land to the head waters of Quinn Creek, down the water shed to where it meets with the Bull River. East - Up the Bull River to its head waters, over the height of land, down the East White River to where it meets with the White River. West - From the head waters of Dutch Creek, down the height of the Purcells' to the head waters of Skookumchuck Creek. Capital Region Female The external perimeter of the 13 municipalities compromising the Capital Regional District as well MHA as the Juan de Fuca electoral Areas of East Sooke and Willis Point. These municipalities include: • District of North Saanich • Township of Esquimalt • Town of Sidney • Town of View Royal • District of Central Saanich • City of Colwood • District of Saanich • City of Langford • Town of Oak Bay • District of Highlands • City of Victoria • District of Metchosin • District of Sooke • Juan de Fuca Electoral Areas of East Sooke and Willis Point Castlegar Minor Starting from the mouth of China Creek and following the boundary between the Central Hockey Association Kootenay and Kootenay-Boundary Regional Districts west and then north to Johnston Creek, east down Johnston Creek to the Arrow Lake, east in straight line to the northern boundary of the Village of Winlaw, south of Highway No. 6 to the Slocan junction, across Kootenay River to the height of land on the east side of Kootenay River, south to the summit of Highway No. 3 between Castlegar and Salmo, following Champion Creek to the Columbia River, across the river, up China Creek to the Nancy Greene junction on Highway No. 3 and north of Highway No. 3 to the Paulson Bridge. Chase Minor Hockey East - From Chase east along the Trans Canada Hwy 7 km to the mouth of the Big Association Shuswap and South east from there including Turtle Valley Road and Skimikin Road to Fleming Lake. Also, the North side of Big Shuswap Lake to Anglemont the Squilax Anglemont Hwy. West - West of Chase to Rocky Point Bluff on the Trans Canada Hwy. All of Martin Prairie Road and Duck Range Road up to Hwy 97A. On the North Side of the Thompson River the boundary would be directly across from Rocky Point Bluff along the Kami-shuswap Road. Pinantan Lake Road to the McNulty Road, including all of Warren Road. South - South of Chase along the Chase Creek- Falkland Road to Pillar Lake. North - North of Chase to 5k past the mouth of Adams Lake. Including Little Shuswap Road and Holding Road. Chetwynd and District South - to Tumbler Ridge boundary; North - From Carbon Creek east past Mount Minor Hockey Association McAllister to the south west corner of the District of Hudson's Hope along southern boundary and up the eastern boundary of Hudson's Hope District to the Peace River then along the south side of the Peace River to a point 5 km east of Attachie; West - Along Rocky Mountains from Tumbler Ridge boundary up to Highway 97 at the summit (Azouzetta) along Highway 97 north to the point where the highway swings east, then north to Carbon Creek; East – From point 5 km east of Attachie, south-east to the Pine River at Favels Creek, down along the Pine River (and including the area on the east side of the Pine River up to the top of the hill along Highway 97) and down the Murray River to the Tumbler Ridge boundary. NOTE: All 1997-1998 Minor Hockey registrants of Harrison Mills, Kent, Agassiz, and Harrison Hot Springs shall have an option to stay with Chilliwack MHA or to switch to Hope & District MHA, but once they have switched they must stay with Hope & District MHA. All new registrants of these areas must register with Hope & District MHA. Clearview Minor Hockey South - Taylor and Dawson Creek boundaries; East - Alberta border; West - from the Beatton Association River Park, north along the Beatton River to the junction with the Doig River and north along the Doig River; North - From the Doig River to the Osborn River and to the Alberta Border. Clearwater and District South - Badger Lake Road including on or north of Badger Lake Road. All players living Minor Hockey Association south of Badger Lake Road will be within Kamloops Minor Hockey boundary. North – Extends as far as the North Thompson River Bridge on Highway 6 north. Everything north of the bridge goes to Valemount. Also, part of the boundary is the southern line which is created by the Prince George - Mt Robson Electoral District from its intersection with the Cariboo North Electoral District and the Kamloops - North Thompson Electoral District.
