Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno will be participating in this effort to provide critical food for our neighbors. We will be holding an event for the media on Tuesday, March 31 at 11:30 a.m., in front of Springfield City Hall at 36 Court Street. Our community is pulling together to fight the devastating economic effects of COVID- 19, and this would not have been possible without the generous donors to the Recovery and Relief Fund we organized with the United Ways of Hampshire and Franklin County. About the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. The Food Bank provides food to member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in the region, providing sustenance to individuals, families, seniors, children and people with disabilities (including veterans) to lead healthy and meaningful lives.
