All players must be signed in by 11:25 AM There will be no training on Friday, June 12, due to the Showcase Games JUNE 10-11, 2015 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM June 10 - Girls Evening Scrimmage June 11 - Boys Evening Scrimmage FIRST DAY JUNE 8, 2015 10:30-11:15 AM First day sign-in begins at 10:30 AM You will receive your training jersey Players will be divided into their teams 11:15-11:30 AM Welcome to all players CAMP LOCATION EDDIE TAM MEMORIAL PARK 931 Makawao Avenue Makawao, Hawaii 96768 Welcome tent and player sign-in will be located at the top fields, off Makawao Aveue. WHAT TO BRING REQUIRED TRAINING APPAREL Each player will be provided with a Nike Tiempo II training jersey. You must wear this jersey to training each day. In addition, you must wear the following attire: HIGH SCHOOL BOYS: Black shorts / Black socks YOU HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS: White shorts / White socks You are representing yourself as a potential collegiate athlete. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are well presented. Please ensure that your training attire meets the above requirements and is clean and free of stains. Your cleats should also be free of mud, normal dirt and wear excepted. ADDITIONAL REQUIRED ITEMS PREPARED While we will have some refreshments, sports drinks and sunscreen available for players, it is your responsibility to bring your own personal water bottle and any necessary medications. Please review the following checklist and ensure that REPRESENT you bring all necessary items each day. A Parents and players will have an opportunity to hear, directly from the coaches, about what it takes to compete at the Division I and II college level. The Coaches will also provide invaluable information about the general identification and recruitment process. Parents and players will have an opportunity to speak directly with the Coaches and get the answers you have always wanted to know about college soccer! An ECNL coach from top Arizona club, SC Del Sol, will also be available to answer questions about the ECNL league and the many opportunities for college identification that it provides to young female players. SHOWCASE GAMES FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2015 | KING KEKAULIKE STADIUM MAUI GIRLS’ KICKOFF: 4:30 PM BOYS’ KICKOFF: 6:30 PM ach high school group will train regularly with two/three college coaches for the duration of the week. However, the coaches will rotate for at E least one session prior to the Evening Scrimmages so that each player has an opportunity to work with all coaches. During the week, players will learn the tactical and strategic principles of their coaches'’ university. The training sessions will be similar to a typical “game week” that you can expect at the Division I college level. At the end of the week, the teams face off in back to back Showcase Games held at King Kekaulike High School School’s Stadium. The Games are coached by the college coaches, and all coaches will be present to evaluate all players (boys and girls) showing in both game. This is an excellent opportunity for the coaches to see your ability and potential as a college player where it really matters! At the end of both showcase games, the college coaches will select two players, one boy and one girl, to become MVP players of the Camp and Showcase Games. The MVP players will be awarded with some great Nike swag from KING KEKAULIKE HIGH Valley Isle Soccer Academy. SCHOOL MAUI The college coaches have full control and discretion over the playing time of GIRLS KICKOFF: each player. Given that the coaches will be actively recruiting upper classmen, it 4:30 PM is likely that sophomores, juniors and seniors will see slightly more playing time than incoming freshmen. BOYS KICKOFF: All parents, family and friends are encouraged to attend the Showcase Games, 6:30 PM which will receive local media coverage and provide a great competitive Entry into the Showcase atmosphere for all of your supporters! Game is by way of voluntary donation. He assists in all phases of the men’s and women’s soccer programs, while traveling with the men. McNeil came to UP after one season as head coach of the girls soccer team at Lincoln High School in downtown Portland. In his one season at the helm of the Cardinals, McNeil led the team to the Oregon 6A State Championship and was named the state coach of the year.
