Travelling to Central and Queenswood Medical Practice;

Most patients live within easy walking distance of Hornsey Central and Queenswood Medical Practice. Others may have to come by bus, car or Dial-a-ride.

Cycle;

This is the one way to get about that really can boost your fitness! Sadly, there are a few quite steep hills locally, but even if you have to get off and push your bike, you are still receiving good exercise whilst walking! Several of our Doctors cycle to the centre. There’s a cycle rack outside the main entrance, but please be sure to lock or chain your bike securely to the rack; we cannot be responsible for your cycle.

Buses;

W7 Station- - Broadway

Bus W7 runs along Park Road from Crouch End to Alexandra Park, and stops literally outside of the centre, or just over the road. It is very frequent during the day, running about every 6-8 minutes, 10 minutes early mornings and evenings.

144 Muswell Hill- Turnpike Lane- Edmonton Green W3 - Crouch End ( Lane)- Alexandra Park- - Northumberland Park Station

Both bus routes travel along Priory Road and the nearest stops to the centre for both buses are in Priory Road, by the road junction and small parade of shops close to the entrance to Alexandra Park. It is a few minutes walk if you turn into Park Road, about 400m (440 yards). If you have difficulty walking, and have either a Bus Pass or a Travel card including Zone 3, you can hop on a W7 for one stop to Hornsey Central.

W5 Archway Station- Crouch End- Haringey Superstores (Sainsbury’s)

This is the little ‘Minibus’ that goes around the houses on a ‘Hail-&-Ride’ route. The bus will stop just before, or just after, the junction at Wolseley Road and Park Road. Again it is a brisk walk along Park Road 500m (550 yards) to Hornsey Central, or you can change to a W7 for the last part of your journey. If you are on the W5 bus going towards Archway Station, change at the Crouch End Broadway stop outside Budgens and Tesco as you change buses at the same stop.

Other local buses to Crouch End and Muswell Hill

If you are travelling from further afield, routes 43, 102, 134, 234 and 299 all go to Muswell Hill Broadway. Catch the W7 from the stop at the top of Muswell Hill to the Health Centre. Alternatively, buses 41 and 91 serve Crouch End Broadway. Again catch a W7 from outside Budgens and Tesco to the Health Centre. Otherwise it is about 12-15 minutes brisk walk.

All buses in North are Low Floor, and are designed to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. They have ramps at the middle door. The driver should be able to get close enough to the kerb to ensure passengers in wheelchairs can get on board. Low floor buses can also take up to two adult passengers with children in buggies or pushchairs, but this may be difficult at very busy times.
