Partner name Total budget (EUR) 1 Bihor County Council 33 210,60 2 Local Government of Berettyóújfalu City 8 380,00 3 Municipality of Oradea 8 072,40 4 Municipality of Marghita 3 422,40 5 Municipality of Salonta 3 422,40 6 City of Aleșd 3 422,40 7 Municipality of Beiuș 3 422,40 8 University of Oradea, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy 13 844,80 Total: 77 197,40 www.interreg-rohu.eu » General objective: The project aims to improve health and well-being of approximately 700,000 people in the cross-border area of Bihor County (Romania) and Berettyóújfalu (Hungary) by: 1.Improving and establishing quality medical emergency services in the urban and rural areas to provide permanent emergency care, building a telemedicine infrastructure that helps locate, diagnose and treat emergency situations in the CB area in the shortest time and distance possible, optimizing the work overload caused by the human resource deficit. 2.Establishing a CB learning and research centre, a common space for professional debates, workshops, training, tuition and research which is crucial for keeping up with the modern technologies and for the patients’ safety and security. 3.balancing the inequalities in terms of medical services in the CB area caused by the differences in the availability and quality of oncology and physical medicine and rehabilitation in order to solve the human resource deficit and the health care migration between the two countries. » Project brief summary: 1. Bihor County Council aims to develop and improve medical services by building two emergency medical centres in the mountain area: in Padiş and Stâna de Vale, that will be operated by Bihor County Mountain and Cave Rescue Service 2. Local Government of Berettyóújfalu City that operates the local hospital (Gróf Tisza István Kórház) aims to reconstruct a building and establish a modern physical medicine and rehabilitation centre. 3. Municipality of Oradea aims to establish an open telemedicine system (all medical units involved in the project will be interconnected) and to equip Emergency County Hospital Oradea and Municipal Clinical Hospital "Dr.Gavril Curteanu" with certain medical devices: a modern digital radiography device, CT angiography for emergency decision making , CT Scan, Spect CT for oncological and endocrine diagnosis and medical equipment for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 4. Municipality of Marghita, Municipality of Salonta , City of Aleșd and Municipality of Beius aim to equip the local hospitals with modern digital radiography and echography devices. 5. The University of Oradea through the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy aims to reconstruct one of its buildings and establish a learning and research centre continuing medical education. »Project results: Creating facilities for emergency interventions in the mountain area of Bihor county by shortening the medical intervention time.
