These courses use the same terrain as the senior courses passing though the city centre and old parts of Norwich. The Newcomer's Course (Course 8) is designed for novice adults with limited or no orienteering experience, and for families or small groups. Competitors under 16 wanting a longer run can also enter course 8, although for young juniors it will be more technical.
