Coeur d’ Alene City Council, Seat 5 Dan English  WON over Tom Morgan, Roger Huntman, and Lacey Moen! o 2,548 votes = 50.27%

I-1000 / Referendum 88:  LOST by less than 1%!  Approved: = 952,053 = 49.44%, Rejected: 973,610 = 50.56% I-976:  Approved by the voters, which is a LOSS for working people and local communities!  YES: 1,055,749 = 52.99%, NO: 936,751 = 47.01%  The legal battle has begun as several Cities and Counties have files lawsuits to challenge the Constitutional viability of this measure.

Overall SUMMARY:

 With the loss of I-976, this will potentially have huge impact on transportation and jobs across the state. Many local cities and Counties have filed lawsuits, so the final outcome will remain uncertain for many months. In the meantime, many local cities and counties have already calculated impacts to infrastructure and transportation projects. Many cites have place a ‘hold’ on starting any new planned infrastructure projects that have yet to break ground until further notice.

 GOTV efforts: o Many members from across the jurisdiction participated in these efforts including; phone banking, labor to neighbor canvasing, regional Labor Council participation, Precinct Committee Officer (PCO outreach, etc. o Our Annual ‘Scare out the Vote’ event (sponsored by your VOC and RENEW Committees for 2019 was a two (2) day event for 2019. These two days of direct member phone banking was a HUGE success this year, as our volunteer members made 1,016 phone calls, and reached 726 members!

 I-1000 / Ref. 88: o Since the LOSS was by less than 1%, the founding coalition plans to file another initiative for 2020. This time, the initiative will be directly to the people, instead of to the WA State Legislature as in 2019 (which passed).

 IDAHO endorsed candidates: o ALL three (3) endorsed candidates WON! Great job and thanks to ALL the Idaho PAC Members!

 Spokane and Spokane Valley: o Seven (7) of our nine (9) candidates WON! The toughest loss was the Mayor race for Spokane. Ben Stuckart lost by less than 900 votes! Great job, Spokane and Avista PAC Members!

 Washington State Candidates: o We had 33 total endorsed candidates, with 21 of them victorious! = 63.6% . With the Seattle City Council, Candidate Egan Orion LOST to incumbent Kshama Sawant . Three (3) Union members running for City of Tukwila City Council all LOST
