One family The Pakistan Peace Delegation liked the idea of home-stays during their visit to different Indian cities, as part of the Indo-Pak Joint Signature Campaign and Exchange of Peace Delegations. Mr Adam Malik, a member of the Delegation to India, fondly recollects his poignant experience in Jaipur: “Our host family in Jaipur treated us like their family members and considering my age they treated me like their elder brother. At the time of leaving the home they followed the parampara and fulfi lled the rituals of Tilak and giving some pocket money. I was too overwhelmed to respond and could not refuse the money. I think if this kind of interaction is arranged in both countries more often a lot of misperceptions can be corrected.” At Jaipur, the Pakistan Delegation interacted with children at St Anslem’s school and the students at IIIM, a management college. The delegation also interacted with a gathering of women, youth and media persons. They watched a play on Hiroshima-Nagasaki nuclear holocaust, Teesvi Shatabdi, presented by Rangayan. At Chandigarh the eight-member Peace Delegation from Pakistan was given a very warm reception by prominent citizens.
