• Call To Order: Meeting called to order by Mark Donovan at 7:15 pm.

• President Report (Mark Donovan) – meeting with Maynard of Park and Rec on Friday, February 6 at 10 am to discuss plans for Bittner B. Town is looking to keep a 50/70 field with GLL contributing $9K for Bittner B repair - 2018 leveled infield, graded, and put new turf in. Dropped use of Chittenden and Cox fields two years ago to decrease maintenance of fields. Limiting fields more will further make it difficult for GLL players to play travel games.

YouTube videos are in place of Town Hall meeting. Second was filmed today. Looking for suggestions: 1st was talking about keeping the kids together, 2nd about the game itself, and 3rd about info on the district will be done next week. District meeting needs to be face to face with parents to discuss the commitment required to be on a district team. Meeting maybe during evaluations.

District Meeting - some of the changes proposed: o Trouble fielding a team. Can reach a league for a kid for a game and return them back to the original team. o AUU teams allowed on GLL resources

• Vice President Update (Greg Aulenti) - Wrap up: AA Minors will not have an evaluation. The 8-year olds that want to play up need evaluations. Will discuss if we should have AA Minors evaluations. Softball Winter Workout: solid pitching and catching talent. Will evaluate Majors and AAA kids together; looking at 1 Major, 1 AAA, and a couple AA teams. Registration: 250 as of today. Early bird special date is ending Feb 9th. Majors teams based on MBL teams, as done in the past. Will have a throwback design in tribute to 70-year anniversary. Planning parade: needs new sound system. Speakers: announcing during each game at Adams A and Adams B with possible softball games. Melissa Shaw will contact Guitar Center for an update based on previous equipment.

• Coaching Coordinator (Melissa Shaw) - in need of commissioner for /A, AA, and AAA. Majors commissioner is all set.

• Sponsor Update (Kim Vigliotti) – having a difficult time getting sponsors. Only at 50% of what we had last year. Greg will draft an email to all sponsors that have not yet been contacted.

1

• Equipment (Phil Kikosicki) – no update. Bills will be coming through soon.

• Player Agent (Steve Bioty) – looking at of kids and teams. We can only have eight 12-year olds on a team. One team has eleven 12-year olds, so they need to be broken up. Team 6 will be created from existing and new Majors players. This team will not be selected by coaches choosing the kids on their team to go to other team. Discussed costs for the 50/70 league. Maybe charge $30 or whatever cost ends up being. Will provide shirt only.

• Finance (Tom Steffan) - balance is almost $74K. Brought in $20K. Not many new expenses (wiffle ball, board dinner, QuickBooks). Need to purchase Breakaway bases ($500 x 2 sets) and portable mound for Bittner field ($1K). Voted on $1,500 proposed expenses described above. All approved.

• Umpires - Tom Huffman might be leaving late spring.

• Meeting Adjourned: 8:08 pm by Mark Donovan. Next meeting is planned for Monday, March 2rd in the Community Center Menunkatuck Room at 7:15 pm.
