KCRW creates and curates a unique mix of content centered around music discovery, NPR news, cultural exploration and informed public affairs. News & Culture KCRW creates culturally responsive programming that speaks to the nuanced interests and needs of the Southern community. Over 100 weekly hours of original programming features nationally syndicated news and culture shows To The Point with Warren Olney (co­production with PRI), The Treatment with , Bookworm with Michael Silverblatt, political week in review show Left, Right & Center, and The Business hosted by Kim Masters; in addition to Los Angeles­ focused shows such as Good Food with Evan Kleiman, DnA: Design & Architecture with Frances Anderton, Art Talk with Edward Goldman and Hunter Dohojowska­ Philp, among others.

As 's flagship NPR affiliate, KCRW airs local editions of NPR's popular morning newsmagazine Morning Edition and afternoon news show All Things Considered. KCRW also broadcasts 's daily business and economy program Marketplace, and PRI's global news program The World.

Listeners can access past programs on­demand and the News24 digital channel at KCRW.com and through the KCRW Radio smartphone app. Events KCRW has a history of bringing unique live experiences to Southern California and around the country ­­ whether concerts with musical talent, or conversations between our hosts and the world's leading thinkers and creators.

Music events include KCRW's World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, now in its 16th season; the annual KCRW­produced "Summer Nights," a free, all ages concert series throughout Los Angeles; "KCRW Presents," where the station promotes its favorite bands' live performances in Southern California, San Francisco, New York, and other major cities; and live broadcasts and DJ performances from cultural events such as Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, among others.

Cultural events include KCRW's UpClose Series, live conversations between KCRW hosts and leading figures in film, art, politics, literature and pop culture; First Take, a screening series hosted by Matt Holzman and showcasing indie and foreign films; the annual Good Food Pie Contest; and ongoing events hosted with leading cultural institutions, such as Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Annenberg Space for Photography, and others.
