I am keeping my fingers crossed for a lovely Indian Summer in September. INSIDE THIS ISSUE There has been lots going on locally over the last couple of months. KEMPSHOTT CONSERVATION GROUP The Community Lunch took a break in August but will be back in September (the fist 7 RESTAURANT REVIEW Wednesday) serving jacket spuds and ploughman’s lunch with coffee or tea all for £4 – VIKING BADMINTON look forward to seeing you there. Sadly the Café will be saying goodbye to the manager, BASINGSTOKE LADIES’ CHOIR Callum, at the end of August. Callum has done a brilliant job managing the café and will ANNUAL CONCERT be greatly missed – The Rabbiter wish him a happy move to Leeds. We will also be saying SWAG SNIPPETS BEGGARWOOD MAZE a sad goodbye to Sophie who has provided great service to all the customers at the café. 8 LAMB BROOKS LEGAL EYE A lovely new manager with the best smile in the world has arrived at the Café. Louise is a 10 CYCLE BASINGSTOKE local lass and is looking forward to meeting everyone so if you haven’t met her yet please BASINGSTOKE CAMERA CLUB do pop in for a coffee very soon (and perhaps a slice of the delicious lemon drizzle cake). Just an occasional few hours could do wonders to help a local resident. BASINGSTOKE CIVIL SERVICE RETIREMENT FELLOWSHIP Sainsbury’s have been busy updating their store. The coffee shop is now under new 18 COMMUNITY CENTRE management and a new menu is planned. The magazines have moved to the back of the 19 THE WARREN store close to Argos and there is a greatly expanded range of cosmetics available. BMAF 2020 PROGRAMME The next meeting of Beggarwood Bookworms will be held on 11 September at the 21 SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING DISCOVERY CENTRE Hatch Warren Community Centre.
