HOUSING MARKET BULLETIN Quarter 2, 2009 Key Changes The average property price in the Aberdeen Housing Market Area for the second quarter of 2009 is £196,088, an increase on the previous quarter figure of £181,587. During the quarter, 1,282 properties were added to the property register, and 1,329 were sold. The overall number of properties on the register for the Aberdeen Housing Market Area is 1,582. Houses for Sale During the quarter there has been a decrease in the number of properties on the register, from 1,830 to 1,582. The Aberdeen housing market area has seen an increase on the number of properties sold during the quarter from 925 to 1,329. During quarter 2, the majority of areas either experienced an increase in house prices, or remained the same, compared to the previous quarter. If there are fewer than 10 sales for a particular area, this price has not been included. This is to ensure that a reasonable sample base is used to provide the average figure. -
