Exhibition booth organized by Korean Association for Supporting the SDGs for the United Nations Topic: ‘Implementation of the SDGs by Corporations and Policy leaders’ ‘Global Sustainable Leader 100’ and ‘Global Sustainable Brand 100’ list 2019 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) Exhibition United Nations Headquarters in New York "Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality" About Korean Association for Supporting the SDGs for the UN (ASD) Korean Association for Supporting the SDGs for the UN (ASD), which is in special consultative status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), is an international non-governmental organization established in 2011. ASD is building sustainable networks to promote the ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’ with the government, assembly and key global leaders in each country and submitting leading sustainable models of main stakeholder. ASD submitted written statements regarding SDGs related activities of the assembly and global corporations by participating in major committees of ECOSOC such as the UN HLPF, and these statements were adopted nine times. Moreover, the activities of ASD was presented as the best practice in the SDGs Help Desk of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP). By annually selecting and announcing the SDGs Busi- ness Index (SDGBI) and the guidelines for reducing plastic waste (GRP), ASD is supporting the global strategies of environmental management, sustaina- ble management, social contribution, and Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) field of 2000 major global corporations. The association is collaborat- ing with more than 15 major global corporations for campaigns regarding global eco-friendliness, women, child, plastic, clothing, and fine dust. ASD is also cooperating through the network with diverse major global leaders such as Nobel prize winner. ‘Global Sustainable 100' Award Selection Process 1.
