Please Read Before Voting Do Not Discard The PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING 9615880201 DO NOT DISCARD THE ENCLOSED RETURN ENVELOPE – YOU WILL NEED IT TO VOTE ONLINE OR BY MAIL. February 16, 2021 Dear SAG-AFTRA Member, Enclosed is your ballot for the 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® for the outstanding motion picture and television performances of the past year. Actors and their representatives were able to submit performances for consideration between September 21 and November 20, 2020. Two Nominating Committees made up of members in good standing were randomly selected to vote on submitted performances, which met the criteria of the official Rules & Regulations. 2,500 of those members were eligible to vote on motion pictures and 2,500 were eligible to vote on television. VOTING We are offering members the choice of either voting with the enclosed printed ballot, or voting online. Vote By Mail If voting by mail, please review the printed ballot. Enclosed you will find a list of final nominees for each category. Each actor, motion picture cast, or ensemble on the list has a number next to her, his, or its name. Those same numbers appear on the optical ballot, which is also enclosed. Please review the list and fill in the oval of only ONE selection for each category on the optical ballot. If you fill in more than one, that section of your ballot will become void. IMPORTANT: Use a BLACK or DARK pen. If you make an error, clearly cross out that error and fill in your choice. Your ballot must be completed and returned in the lavender envelope provided. Please note: Integrity Voting Systems must receive your ballot by the deadline regardless of its postmark. Please allow ample time for delivery when mailing your ballot to ensure that your vote is counted. Only the enclosed envelope can be accepted. For members who choose to overnight by UPS or FedEx at their own expense, please put your ballot in the lavender return envelope and place that envelope inside the overnight envelope. Overnight envelopes should be returned to: Integrity Voting Systems, 7720 Hardeson Rd. Suite A, Everett, WA 98203, (425) 446-3300. Online Voting If you wish to vote online, please go to: https://www.ivsballot.com/sagawardsfinal and follow the instructions posted there. You will need to log in with both your SAG-AFTRA ID number (not your social security number) and the Awards PIN that is located on the lavender return envelope. If you choose to vote online, do not send in your printed ballot. If you should submit both online and a printed ballot, only the printed ballot will be counted. We recommend you don’t wait until the final few hours to vote; that you prepare your selections before logging on; and keep the entire voting packet to refer to until you have submitted your vote. Voting Deadline Your vote, whether by mail or online, must be RECEIVED by Integrity Voting Systems by 12:00 noon PST on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. NO DUPLICATE BALLOTS WILL BE PROVIDED. For Your Consideration DVDs and Digital Screeners For information on viewing nominated performances, visit our website at: http://www.sagawards.org/FYC. In addition to DVDs mailed to your address, we will again have digital screening options, which will require your Awards PIN found on the lavender return envelope enclosed. This is the same PIN you will use to vote online, should you choose to. Please visit the SAG Awards website regularly as more information becomes available on how to view nominated performances. Questions? For questions and information about the SAG Awards®, please email [email protected] or call (323) 549-6598. RE: HB 6267 - CT TAX CREDITS Dear Finance Committee and Esteemed Members of the Connecticut Legislature My name is Jeff Bishop and I currently perform business recruitment and economic development functions here in the Greater Bridgeport area with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. Prior to this I was with the Bridgeport Economic Resource Center’s Office of film, which was a public private organization working hand-in-hand with the City of Bridgeport’s Office of Planning and Economic Development. During the tenure of the Bridgeport Office of Film there were more than 30 major motion pictures and/or projects filmed in the City of Bridgeport and surrounding area. They came to our region not only because of the wonderful and diverse scenery available, but also because of the film and digital media tax credit program that was in place. These films and projects brought a tremendous amount of economic activity and energy into our communities on a regular basis. In addition to the “star power” that came to town, it attracted national attention in a positive way, generated civic pride and elevated our standing in the movie industry as a great place to do business. It seemed that the headlines in our local papers and in the media were more about the film projects that came into our town and took over with their film shooting instead of the other types of shootings. There was always a buzz in the air and a certain energy that is hard to quantify but was still there and on display for all to see.
