Titles: 29 Sources: 1 Stills: 0

Born: Helena, Arkansas; 1917

The Moving Picture Boy entry:

“William Shuford acted under his father’s name of Andy. He was a lithe, freckled, outdoor boy and a brilliant rider; but he also had narrow, "skinny" eyes which after a while made him an invaluable player of "mean" parts – for instance as a foe of Jackie Cooper in "WHEN A FELLER NEEDS A FRIEND". In most of his films of 1931-32, though, he is co- starring with cowboy Bill Cody (grandson of "Wild Bill") in the "Bill and Andy" series.

Shuford left the movies when he was 18, and enlisted in the Air Force. He served for many years, and won the British DFC during World War Two.”
