Scientology: CRIMINAL TIME TRACK ISSUE I by Mike Mcclaughry 1999
Scientology: CRIMINAL TIME TRACK ISSUE I by Mike McClaughry 1999 The following is a Time Track that I put together for myself and some friends at the time, in 1999. I originally used the pseudonym “Theta” at the request of Greg Barnes until he was ready to “go public” with his defection from Scientology. I also used the pseudonym “Theta 8-8008” around this same time period. Bernd Luebeck, Ex-Guardian’s Office Intelligence and then Ron’s Org staff ran the website www.freezone.org. In 1999, just after my time track was released privately, Bernd used it on his website as-is. He later expanded on my original time track with items of interest to himself. Prior to my doing this time track, Bernd, (nor anyone else involved with Scientology on the internet), had ever thought of the idea to do things this way in relation to Scientology. Mike McClaughry BEGIN An open letter to all Scientologists: Greetings and by way of introduction, I am a Class 8, OT 8, who has been in the Church for many decades and I am in good standing with the Church. I am a lover of LRH’s technology and that is my motivation in writing you and in doing what I am now doing. It came to my attention, sometime in the not too distant past, that the current top management of the Church, particularly David Miscavige, is off source. One of the ways he is off-source is that he has made the same mistake as the old Guardian’s Office staff made, engaging in criminal activities to solve problems. -

The Technical Bulletins of Dianetics and Scientology by L. Ron Hubbard FOUNDER OF DIANETICS AND SCIENTOLOGY Volume VIII 1972-1976 _____________________________________________________________________ I will not always be here on guard. The stars twinkle in the Milky Way And the wind sighs for songs Across the empty fields of a planet A Galaxy away. You won’t always be here. But before you go, Whisper this to your sons And their sons — “The work was free. Keep it so.” L. RON HUBBARD L. Ron Hubbard Founder of Dianetics and Scientology EDITORS’ NOTE “A chronological study of materials is necessary for the complete training of a truly top grade expert in these lines. He can see how the subject progressed and so is able to see which are the highest levels of development. Not the least advantage in this is the defining of words and terms for each, when originally used, was defined, in most cases, with considerable exactitude, and one is not left with any misunderstoods.” —L. Ron Hubbard The first eight volumes of the Technical Bulletins of Dianetics and Scientology contain, exclusively, issues written by L. Ron Hubbard, thus providing a chronological time track of the development of Dianetics and Scientology. Volume IX, The Auditing Series, and Volume X, The Case Supervisor Series, contain Board Technical Bulletins that are part of the series. They are LRH data even though compiled or written by another. So that the time track of the subject may be studied in its entirety, all HCO Bs have been included, excluding only those upper level materials which will be found on courses to which they apply. -

Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, and His Civil
$ The Journal of CESNUR $ Degrees of “Truthiness”: A Response to Stephen A. Kent Ian C. Camacho Independent scholar [email protected] ABSTRACT: History indeed does progress through exchanges and controversies. While Stephen A. Kent mentioned in his paper two interesting additional documents, I do not believe they conclusively prove his claim that L. Ron Hubbard consistently and fraudulently pretended to have a B.S. in Civil Engineering. While it is true that the Church of Scientology’s publications were not always consistent in their claims about their founder’s academic career, it remains that in his lectures, interviews and writings, Hubbard basically told it as it was, that he did not have a Civil Engineering degree—and that this did not prevent him from developing many of the practical skills a civil engineer is supposed to have. Eleven High Officials and Agents of the Church of Scientology, In- Cluding the Wife of Founder L
4 t Washington Post Staff Writer Ni 1 Eleven high officials and agents of the Church of Scientology, in- cluding the wife of founder L. Ron Hubbard, were charged here yes- terday in an allegedly widespread conspiracy to plant spies in gov- ernment agencies, break into gov- ernment offices, steal official docu- ments and bug government meet- ings. Much of the evidence outlined against the church's officials in the 28-count criminal indictment appears to be based on the church's own in- ternal memorandums and other docu- ments. The memorandums directed church operatives to "use any meth- od" in its battle with the govern- ment. Church spies were used, according to the indictment, to find out about Scientology's tax-exempt status, rum- mage through government files to get information on the church and on per- sons or groups it perceived to be its "enemies." They were also used as an "early warning system" to pro- tect Hubbard from government scru- tiny, the indictment alleged. Assistant U.S. Attorney Raymond Banoun asked that arrest warrants be issued immediately for the church's Worldwide Guardian, Jane Kember, and her chief aide, Morris (Mo) Bud- long, in England, and said extradition proceedings against them would begin soon. The other indicted church members, including Commodore Staff Guardian Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of the founder, are scheduled to appear in federal court here at 1 p.m. Thursday. Banoun said he had been assured by attorneys for those church members that they would appear as scheduled. -A spokesman for the church, which is described in its literature as an "applied religious philosophy which believes that man is a spiritual being and is basically good," said the indict- ment is the latest episode in nearly 30 years of harassment against the church by government agencies. -

We have been forced to use this makeshift design in order to safeguard our right to ship MESSIAH OR MADMAN ? to the public. We consider it our duty to make this important book available to you as soon as possible--despite the ongoing legal harassment we are suffering. The contents of L. RON HUBBARD, MESSIAH OR MADMAN ? justify the enormous legal and personal problems that we have gone through. We are convinced that this book must not be suppressed at any cost! Later editions will bear a jacket consistent with our usual high standards. But since a restraining order had been placed on our first printing because of litigation over jacket design, we felt it imperative to release books to the public immediately. We are sure that the bookbuying public will understand, and support us in our fight to protect First Amendment liberties. Bent Corydon and L. Ron Hubbard Jr. a.k.a. Ronald DeWolf L. Ron Hubbard wrote the 1950 bestseller Dianetics, the Modern Science of Mental Health. This inspired a layman-oriented mental health movement which, ultimately, developed into Scientology, the most profitable of the money-making new religions. Surrounded by adoring teenyboppers, uniformed in mini-skirts, bikini tops and high heeled boots, Hubbard was a bigamist who masterminded Watergate-style break-ins. -
