Introducing… Danny Redman I believe I am one of the lucky ones. I have had the privilege of living on this Sunshine Coast since I was six years old. Our family owned bakeries on the coast and my trade when I completed high school was a baker & pastry cook. In my teenage years as a surfer, I have fond memories of the point breaks at Noosa, and Moffat Beach, and when there was no surf, riding trail bikes around the hills of Mapleton and what is now Mountain Creek and Sippy Downs when there was nothing but dirt and bush. Apart from the two years I spent travelling and working throughout Europe I have lived on the Coast all my life. My real estate career began in 1981 in with Day & Grimes.

After a 10 year association with the rural and hinterland communities, these early days in real estate together with my local knowledge, gave me an immense understanding of the Sunshine Coast and its geography. I had always held a soft spot for and in the mid 1990s, I moved my family to Buderim from Nambour to manage Ken Guy Buderim and live in this warm and friendly community. In the period between 1989 and 1999 I was an active member of the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Institute, five of these years I served as Vice president of the Sunshine Coast Branch.

I have held my Auctioneer’s license since 1988 and have over 7,500 property auctions under my belt. We quite often draw on the services of Gordon Macdonald of Jason Andrews Group to present our Auction properties to the market. One of our favorite community engagements is as Charity Auctioneer for the “Beautiful You” Breast Cancer Foundation and we are the proud sponsors of the Matthew Flinders Junior Cricket team.

An interesting feature of Buderim is that every location, position and block of land is unique. The quality of ocean and rural views, the point of difference some have over others is a specialised field and a privilege we do not take for granted.

As an acreage dweller, just a couple of minutes from the office, I love nothing better than spending time gardening and fishing in our beautiful waterways. We have unbelievable lifestyles and a unique opportunity to participate in it. The Sunshine Coast is a precious and safe part of our world. It has continually been held in high regard for overseas and interstate visitors as a place to call home. Our current dynamic growth has finally been recognized as we enter the global stage to be (especially Buderim) the best place in the world to live.
