Prices are guaranteed with a minimum of 130 players, 20 women, 10 senior and 10 junior players participating. Winning more prices is possible. With a lower number of participants, the organizer reserves the right to adjust the price fund. If the winner does not take the prize personally at the closing ceremonial, then it will be forfeited in favour of the tournament organizer. First three rounds will be paired by an accelerated system (the starting list will be split in half; players from the same half always face each other). The participant of the tournaments agrees that the acquired data and results of the tournament for rating to the ELO FIDE and Czech ELO Rating Lists can be published, as well as the games and photos from this tournament on the organizer's website. Consent to the publication of photos can be revoked at any time and the published photos will be removed from the page. The premises of the Public Transport Museum allow to create such conditions (spacing between tables, regular disinfection of halls, ventilation, etc.) so that the event can take place and tournament participants are protected against infection as much as possible. The tournament is allowed under the conditions of the presence of a maximum of 200 people, provided that all persons present comply with the following MEASURES, which the organizer is obliged to check: a) person has undergone an RT-PCR test for SARS-COV2 virus with negative results no more than 7 days ago; b) a person has undergone a NEGATIVE ANTIGEN TEST FOR SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen with negative results no more than 72 hours ago c) the person has been vaccinated against COVID-19 and proves by the national certificate of vaccination or the national certificate of completion of vaccination that the vaccination has expired: i) for at least 14 days from the administration of the second dose of vaccine in the case of a two- dose schedule according to the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC), or (ii) at least 14 days after administration of a dose of vaccine in the case of a single dose schedule under the SPC; A national certificate of vaccination is considered to be a written certificate issued in an official language of a Member State of the European Union or in English by an authorized entity operating in the Czech Republic or another Member State of the European Union, the model of which is published in the list of recognized national certificates on the Ministry of Health website Of the Czech Republic, which contains data on the vaccinated person, the type of vaccine administered, the date of administration of the vaccine and the identification of the subject who issued the certificate; a national vaccination certificate is also considered to be a vaccination certificate issued in accordance with the European Union Regulation on the EU digital certificate COVID; A national certificate of completed vaccination is considered to be a written confirmation issued at least in English by an authorized entity operating in a third country to a Czech citizen or a European Union citizen with a temporary residence permit or permanent residence permit issued by the Czech Republic that vaccination with a substance approved by the European Medicines Agency has been fully completed, and its model is published in the list of recognized national certificates on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic; the written certificate must contain details of the person to be vaccinated, the type of vaccine administered, the date of administration of the vaccine, the identification of the subject who issued the certificate and these data must be verifiable by remote access directly from the written certificate;

    News release Monday 12th September 2011 LONDON CHESS CLASSIC 2011 The timetable for the third London Chess Classic has been announced. The strongest tournament in the history of British chess will be complemented by a chess festival with tournaments for all levels and of course free chess coaching for schools. The tournament runs from 3-12 December 2011 and falls on two weekends so we expect even more spectators as well as more players in the FIDE Open as amateur players will only have to take one full week off work. It also means there will be two sets of weekend tournaments and blitz tournaments every evening. Viktor Korchnoi has agreed to come back again as guest of honour and will give two simultaneous displays. We will have at least one Women’s all-play-all. There will be training courses for chess teachers and for those who would like to become chess teachers, both organised by the charity Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC). Since the last London Chess Classic, CSC has expanded and works in 70 schools in 13 towns and cities in England and Wales. See www.chessinschools.co.uk The London Chess Classic now comes under the Chess in Schools and Communities umbrella and there will be five days of free school activities. Each day, schools can bring children to learn from top coaches and play in a tournament or a simultaneous display. There will also be a chess arbiter’s training course, and on the rest day, Wednesday 7 December, a chess cultural day with film screenings, lectures and more simultaneous displays.

Despite a few female players who have managed to qualify for the highest-rated chess tournaments and perform on an equal level with men, the chess world continues to be male- dominated. From time to time, different female players make achievements among men, but they fail to show consistent results. This project focuses on Armenia, which, despite its small population size, nearly three million people (Worldometers, 2019), ranks the seventh in the world by the average rating of its all-time top 10 players (Federations Ranking, n.d.-a) and the 18th by the rating of female players (Federations Ranking, n.d.-b). It represents the stories and concerns of the strongest Armenian female players of different age groups and aims to understand the reasons for their relatively less success in chess. There were four famous Carlsbad chess tournaments, in 1907, 1911, 1923, and 1929, under the excellent supervision of Viktor Tietz, Senior Tax Inspector and President of the Carlsbad chess organization.
