Dear SkillsUSA Georgia, GSCA, and CTI Advisor:

The Atlanta Thrashers have teamed up with SkillsUSA Georgia, GCSA and CTI and we are happy to announce the 1st Annual SkillsUSA, GCSA, and CTI Day with the Thrashers! Although this is a SkillsUSA, GCSA and CTI event, it is open for all of the students at your school. This educational workshop will focus on resume writing, interview tips, and information about job shadowing opportunities. You and your students will have the opportunity to hear about many of the careers and “behind the scenes” activities that go into running and maintaining a professional sports franchise. Following the event you can sit back and watch the Thrashers as they take on the Boston Bruins at 7:00pm on a Thursday, November 19th, 2009.

The workshop and a ticket to the game that night are in included in your registration. Cost is based on seat location and is either $25 or $35. Please see the attached flyer to register. Below is information regarding each of the ticket options you can share with your students.

$25 Ticket Seat in the 300 Level. Ticket includes workshop and special give away! $35 Ticket Seat in the 200 Level. Ticket includes workshop and special give away!

Check in for this event will begin promptly at 2:45pm. Please be sure to factor in traffic and bus parking into your timing. All tickets will be picked up at the registration table directly in front of the CNN Center entrance of the arena (located downstairs in the CNN food court, just pass the China Breeze restaurant). The educational speaking event will conclude by 5:00pm. Doors will open for the Thrashers game at 6:00pm.

We are hoping to continue to make this an annual event that will be both educational and fun for students and advisors. To make this happen, we ask for your support.

Due to limited availability, please follow the below timeline to make sure there are seats available for your students: September 14th: Pass out attached registration form and encourage students to sign up! October 19th-23rd: Have students turn in form and payment directly to you. October 30th: Mail all registration forms and payment to the Atlanta Thrashers.
