FOR THE SESSION 2020-2022 Merit list (Phase 2) for the following Subjects with multiple centre of learning (BU Campus and affiliated Colleges): Bengali, English, M.P.Ed. and MBA Programmes ADMISSION OF SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONFIRMED ONLY AFTER DOCUMENT VERIFICATION The following students are provisionally selected for admission to various programmes (Phase II) in the subjects under Faculty Council (Arts, etc.) for the session 2020-2022. The students should take note of the following points before making payment of Admission Fees: 1. The broad merit list has been prepared based on system generated data without actual document verification. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility in accordance with the criteria as prescribed in the Information Brochure of the PG Admission 2020, available in the University Website. 2. ALL ADMISSIONS ARE PROVISIONAL. Mere selection of candidates and payment of admission fees do not ensure confirmation of admission unless the eligibility of the candidates is checked and original credentials are found in order at the time of verification of documents. If a candidate is found, before or after admission, not having the minimum eligibility of admission, then the university will have the right to cancel his/her admission without taking responsibility of refund of his/her admission fees. The University also reserves all rights to drop or to include any name, if any suppression of facts on the part of the students, any mistake on the part of the University or any error in the system-generated data is detected at any stage before or after the admission. 3. In case a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility and merit criteria, he/she is requested not to proceed with the subsequent steps since it is likely that the admission will not be confirmed. 4. ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES WILL BE CONFIRMED ONLY AFTER DOCUMENT VERIFICATION TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN BLENDED MODE AFTER PAYMENT OF ADMISSION FEES.Please follow our subsequent instruction for document verification which should be complied with by all the relevant candidates. 5. Payment of Admission Fees will start from 8 pm on 19th January, 2021 through online link that will be sent to your registered mobile number and registered e-mail id. The link will remain active till midnight of 25th January, 2021. In case of any issue/problem regarding payment, candidates should contact us immediately and definitely before the expiry of payment period(email: [email protected]). No communication in this regard will be entertained after the expiry of payment period. 6. Students should ensure collection of E-receipt of successful payment generated in the online system or SMS sent from the University to their registered mobile no. or through e-mail to their registered e-mail id of candidates with “Successful” payment status. Mere receipt of SMS from own bank is not sufficient to ensure successful payment. 7. University will not take the responsibility of any payment failure caused due to network problems. So, candidates are advised to check their “Successful” Payment status. 8. Candidates who have paid admission fees should contact the HoDs/TICs of the respective departments/Centre of Studies through email immediately after payment with a copy of the payment receipt as an attachment. 9. If there is no candidate in the UR-DA, SP Category, then the seat will be transferred to the UR Category. Under similar circumstances, seats of DA-SC, DA-OBCA will be transferred to SC and OBCA Category respectively. 10. As per the reservation rules vide Govt. Order No.: 07-Edn (U)/1U-89/13.- dated. 2nd January, 2014 “for admission to different courses, an SC or ST candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previous examination; qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of the marks obtained by the last candidate of the general category. In case of OBC-A and OBC- B the candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previous examination; qualifying marks not lower by more than 10% from the marks obtained by the last candidate of the general category.” 11. Guidelines of Inter-Transferability/Conversion of Reserved Seats: 11.1 In case seats reserved for S.C. Category remains vacant for want of eligible candidates, seats will be filled up by the eligible candidate from the list ofS.T. Category and vice-versa. If the seats of reserved Category remain vacant even invoking the principle of inter- transferability may be converted toseats under UR Category as per Govt. Rules. 11.2 In case seats reserved for OBC-A Category remains vacant for want of eligible candidates, seats will be filled up by the eligible candidate from the listof OBC-B Category and vice-versa. If the seats of reserved Category remain vacant even invoking the principle of inter-transferability may beconverted to seats under UR Category as per Govt. Rules. 12. The University reserves the right to rectify the list of candidates selected for admission in the event of detection of any inadvertent error, before orafter payment of admission fees including cancellation of admission. 13. As per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, it is notified that if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution. 14. Seats remaining vacant after the expiry of payment period will be filled up through a third provisional merit list (PHASE 3) which will be published later on. Please visit the university website for any update. 15. 15.1 For subjects with multiple centre of learning (BU campus and affiliated colleges), candidates have been upgraded on the basis of merit, preference given by the candidate and seats available in the centre of learning. The candidates will have to confirm their acceptance of upgradation through email ([email protected]) within the 22.01.2021. The candidates who opt for upgradation should contact the HoDs/TiCs of the respective centre of learning at the upgraded centre since due to upgradation and their acceptance therein, their previous allocation stands cancelled. 15.2 The upgraded candidates have to pay admission fees as per the following: 15.2.1 If the admission fee of the centre where the candidate has been upgraded is more than the admission fees of the centre from where the candidate is being upgraded, the candidate has to pay the balance amount of the admission fees of the centre where the candidate has been upgraded. 15.2.2 If the admission fee of the centre where the candidate has been upgraded is lesser the admission fees of the centre from where the candidate is being upgraded- the candidate has not to pay any amount. The remaining amount will be refunded to the concerned candidates in due course as per university rule. 16. Non-payment of admission fees by the selected candidates shall amount to cancellation of his/her candidature and in such context, they will be debarred from participation in any subsequent phase of the admission process. 17.
