Miracle Deliverance Ministry Miracle Deliverance Ministry POPE FRANCIS ENTERTAINS CHRISTIAN CLOWNS Kenneth Copeland, James and Betty Robison By Pat Holliday, PhD Two prominent Fort Worth-based Christian ministers led a delegation of Evangelical Christian leaders to Rome to meet privately with Pope Francis. HERESIES AND THE MYSTERY OF BABYLON Union of all major religions is cited as a sign of end time prophecy in Daniel chapter three. Each passing day draws us nearer and nearer to the return of our dear Savior, Jesus Christ. The unfolding events are evident that this is last days. But the grace of God is as sufficient for the believer today as yesterday and shall be till the trumpet sounds and the saints leave with a shout for the Glory of God! Hallelujah. James and Betty Robison, co-hosts of the Life Today television program, and Kenneth Copeland, co-host of Believer’s Voice of Victory, met the Roman Pontiff at the Vatican on Tuesday. The meeting lasted almost three hours and included a private luncheon with Pope Francis. In addition to Mrs. Betty Robison, the high- profile Protestant delegation included Kenneth Copeland, co-founder of Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Newark, TX; Reverend Geoff Tunnicliff, CEO of the World Evangelical Alliance; Rev. Brian Stiller and Rev. Thomas Schirrmacher, also from the World Evangelical Alliance; and Rev. John Arnott and his wife, Carol, co-founders of Partners for Harvest ministries in Toronto, Canada. Gloria Copeland did not travel to Rome because of a previously scheduled commitment. The ecumenical meeting in Rome was organized by Episcopal Bishop Tony Palmer. Ambassador Ken Hackett was nominated by President Barack Obama on June 14, 2013 to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See. The official representation began with the formal opening of diplomatic relations with the Holy See by PresidentRonald Reagan and PopeJohn Paul II in 1984.1 IS ROME THE HARLOT WOMAN? Are you missing half the story about the last days? Virtually all attention these days is focused on the coming Antichrist--but he is only half the story. Many people are amazed to discover in Revelation 17 that there is also another mysterious character at the heart of prophecy--a woman who rides the beast. 2 Who is this woman? Tradition says she is connected with the Church of Rome. But isn't such a view outdated? After all, today's Vatican is eager to join hands with Protestants worldwide. "The Catholic church has changed" is what we hear. Or has it? In A Woman Rides the Beast, prophecy expert Dave Hunt sifts through biblical truth and global events to present a well-defined portrait of the woman and her powerful place in the Antichrist's future empire. Eight remarkable clues in Revelation 17 and 18 prove the woman's identity beyond any reasonable doubt.3 Revelation 17:1-2 tells us, “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, ‘Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’” Revelation 17:5 goes on to say, “And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Who is this “whore of Babylon” and what is “mystery Babylon”? 4 Revelation 17:3 gives this description: “Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.” The beast mentioned in this verse is the same beast as in Revelation chapter 13:1, “And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.” The beast in Revelation chapter 13 is understood to refer to the Antichrist, the man of lawlessness (II Thess. 2:3-4; Dan. 9:27). So, the whore of Babylon, whoever it is, is closely affiliated with the end-times Antichrist.5 The fact that the whore of Babylon is referred to as a mystery means that we cannot be completely certain as to her identity. The passage does give us some clues, however. Revelation explains, “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.” Many commentators link this passage with the Roman Catholic Church because in ancient times, the city of Rome was known as “the city on seven hills” because there are seven prominent hills that surround the city. However, verse 10 goes on to explain that the seven hills represent 7 kings or kingdoms, five of which have fallen, one that is and one that is to come. Therefore, the "whore of Babylon" cannot refer exclusively to Rome.6 Revelation 17:15tell us, “Then the angel said to me, ‘The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.’” The whore of Babylon will have great worldwide influence over people and nations. Verses 10-14 describe a series of eight and then ten kings who affiliate with the beast. The whore of Babylon will at one time have control over these kings (Rev. 17:18), but at some point the kings will turn on her and destroy her (Rev. 17:16). So, can the mystery of the whore of Babylon be solved? Yes, at least partially. The whore of Babylon is an evil world system, controlled by the Antichrist, during the last days before Jesus’ return. The whore of Babylon also has religious connotations – spiritual adultery with the beast being the focus of an ungodly, end-times religious system.7 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things,” (Phil. 4:8). WHO IS THE WOMAN RIDING THE BEAST Revelation chapter 17 is the end-time account of a great apostate church that will "ride," or spiritually influence and deceive the kingdoms of this world, and in particular, a new, yet ancient, military and economic superpower that is just now rising again. The "woman," and the "beast" that she rides, will be destroyed at The Return of Jesus Christ.8 THE GREAT HAROT "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls [see the Seven Seals] came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who is seated upon many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and with the wine of whose fornication the dwellers on earth have become drunk." 9 A multi-religious orientation: This false dogma propagates the lie that Christianity is not unique but only one group in a large family of co-equal world religions. According to this view, salvation may be obtained by members of any faith. The interfaith dogma also rejects the idea of the Triune God. God the Father is depicted as the universal God of all faiths, and different paths may be followed to approach him. Jesus is only regarded as an ordinary prophet who functions on an equal level with Mohammed, Krishna, Buddha and other mediators to God. The Holy Spirit is associated with all supernatural experiences, including witchcraft, divination and other strange phenomena. A multi-religious orientation is promoted by the universal god of this age, Satan, and also preached in Christian churches by his false prophets, (II Cor. 4:4; 11:13-15; II Pet. 2:1-12). All pathways do not lead back to God! “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” (Jn. 14:6). UN-HOLY BLASPHEMOUS BEAST "And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and bedecked with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication; and on her forehead was written a name of mystery: "Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth's abominations," (Rev.

Senate confirms Callista Gingrich as U.S. ambassador to the Holy See WASHINGTON —The Senate confirmed Callista Gingrich as the new U.S. ambassador to the Holy See. Voting late Oct. 16, senators approved her nomination 70-23. More than 20 Democrats joined Republicans in supporting Gingrich, the wife of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a vocal ally of President Donald Trump. Gingrich, 51, a lifelong Catholic and a former congressional aide, has been president of Gingrich Productions, a multimedia production and consulting company in Arlington, Virginia, since 2007. She was expected to present her credentials at the Vatican in the coming weeks. Gingrich’s associates welcomed the vote. Among them was Msgr. Walter R. Rossi, rector of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, where Gingrich has been a longtime member of the choir. “Callista has been part of our shrine family for two decades and so, as any family rejoices when good news arrives, we rejoice with Callista,” Msgr. Rossi said in an Oct. 17 statement. “Both Callista and Speaker Gingrich are wonderful supporters of our ministry here at Mary’s shrine, most especially our music program. “More importantly, Callista has a great love for the church and our country,” he added. “Her faith is an integral part of her life and I am confident that her faith will be her solid foundation as she enters a new service to church and nation.” The Bethlehem University Foundation wished Gingrich “great success in her new role.” The Gingrichs have been foundation patrons, serving as advisers to its executive director and donors.

On your father’s side, what do you know about your father's side? HACKETT: Well, he was one of 11 children. Q: Good God! HACKETT: His father was a plumber from Ireland. His mother also from Ireland, so they were first-generation, he was second-generation. And most of his brothers and sisters died early. Q: Where did your family come from in Ireland on your father's side? HACKETT: Oh, I'm not sure. One of the places was Skibbereen. There were Hacketts, Griffins, the names of the grandparents. One is from Skibbereen, one is from Cork, and I don‟t know where the others are from. Q: On your mother's side, what do you know about your mother's side? HACKETT: Very little. There were Walshes and the Dorseys. I never knew either grandfather; they passed away before I was born, and on my mother side I knew her mother (my grandmother) who passed away when I was about six or seven. She was a housekeeper for rich Brahmin Yankees in Boston, she raised two kids, and so the story goes following the Irish saga. Q: Okay, how long did you live in Boston? HACKETT: I lived in Boston up until I was 21. And then I left Boston and joined the Peace Corps and went to West Africa.

A. Hackett ready for move to Rome as ambassador to Holy See By Paul McMullen [email protected] Promoting peace and freedom to worship, alleviating poverty and improving his grasp of the Italian language are some of the items atop Ken Hackett’s to-do list as he prepares to become the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See. In mid-June President Barack Obama nominated Hackett, who was president of Baltimore-based Catholic Relief Services from 1993 to 2011, to the ambassador post. Hackett was confirmed by the U.S. Senate Aug. 1. He and his wife, Joan, former parishioners of St. Louis, Clarksville, and the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Homeland, will take residence in Rome Sept. 19. Shortly thereafter, Hackett will present his credentials to Pope Francis. “We’re excited,” Hackett told the Catholic Review Aug. 7, when he was in Washington, D.C., undergoing intensive briefing at what he called “ambassador school.” Earlier that day, Secretary of State John Kerry announced the formation of the Office of Faith-Based Community Initiatives. “The idea is nothing new, but it is new to the State Department,” Hackett said. “It sends a message, we’re going to engage with religious leaders, of whatever faith. It is a strategic priority. To quote Kerry, ‘Not to engage religious leaders is done at our peril.’ “We talked about engaging religious leaders, in preventing, mitigating and resolving conflict. Religious leaders can be sources of great credibility and strength. … Diplomats historically don’t recognize the importance of faith leaders. I am happy to be in the vanguard of that.” Acknowledging that “there are those who would use their religion as an improper justification for their violent extremism,” Hackett repeatedly mentioned Kerry’s focus on the Middle East, where Egypt, Syria and other nations search for stability.

Image not found or type unknown Vatican City State and Holy See TIZIANO RIMOLDI Tiziano Rimoldi, M.A., Ph.D., became professor of church history and law at the Italian Adventist University in Florence, Italy, in 2004. He earned a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Bologna and a PhD from the Università degli Studi di Perugia. He and his wife, Maria Beatrice Copiz, have two children. Rimoldi is the author of Con ordine e dignità. Origini e sviluppo della struttura della Chiesa avventista del settimo giorno. This article explores the Seventh-day Adventist perspective on the Vatican and focuses on aspects that are unique—especially the question of American government envoys. Vatican City State After the annexation manu militari of the last vestiges of the Papal States on September 20, 1870, the Italian parliament enacted the Law of Guarantees in 1871, meant to guarantee the prerogatives of the Supreme Pontiff and of the Holy See, for the fulfillment of their spiritual mission. The Italian State gave the Pope a sovereign-like status and an active and passive right of legation to the Holy See, the free enjoyment of palaces and buildings in Rome and its surrounding areas, the payment of an annual allowance for their maintenance, custody, and for the payment of salaries and pensions to guards and personnel. Nevertheless, because of the unilateral character of the settlement, the Popes refused to reconcile with the Italian government and considered themselves “prisoners” in the Vatican. On February 11, 1929, the Vatican City State (VCS) was fashioned by the Conciliation Treaty between the Italian government and the Holy See:1 the breach, after many decades, was healed.2 The Treaty made the Holy See sovereign over the newly created VCS,3 which embraces chiefly the area of the Vatican (the pope’s official residence and headquarters), St.
