In association with Bushel 10 Coombeshead Road | Highweek | Newton Abbot | Devon | TQ12 1PZ Seller Insight We found Bushel quite by chance, we had viewed another house in the village and as we were leaving we noticed a For Sale board which was almost obscured by the large hedge. Out of pure curiosity we went to the selling agent for the details and arranged a viewing. As we came down the drive to the top of the steps we both experienced that WOW moment that we had be searching for. We were both stunned by the house and the potential it had. The garden needed attention but the potential was great! The house had a lovely feel and we really loved the features related to the period of the house and although we knew we would have to spend a lot on getting the house as we wanted, we knew it would be perfect. We have been here almost eleven years now, but feel it is time for us to downsize. It will be terribly difficult to go as we love it so dearly. We won’t be looking to move too far away as Highweek is a friendly village and community which has a Church, Pub and many community groups. The bus route into Newton Abbot town is frequent, but it is also an easy distance to walk on a nice day. The location works very well for us, with easy access to the mainline railway station at Newton Abbot as well as being accessible to the motorway network. We also love the fact we can be on Dartmoor in around 15 minutes drive or on the beach at Teignmouth in 20.

THE ARCHDEACON OF TOTNES, CHAIRMAN OF GOVERNORS I should like to be among the first to wish Stover School many happy returns on its twenty-fifth birthday, and in this I know that I speak not only for myself, but also for the Governing Body, and the many Old Girls all over the world who remember it with affection. It scarcely seems four years since Mrs . Key, as the Founder of the School, wrote in this magazine a letter of congratulation on its coming of age . These have been four strenuous years, since one inevitable consequence of becoming twenty-one is the desire for " more room to move," and we have been busily planning enlargement, wider facilities, and more classroom space, which are already beginning to take shape.

KEY ON SPEECH DAY STOVER SCHOOL MAGAZINE, 1963 STOVER SCHOOL, NEWTON ABBOT. November, 1963. MY DEAR GIRLS AND OLD GIRLS, I hope that this opening will not seem too familiar ; it is certainly sincere, for though I have not had long to get to know the present girls and so far have met only a few Old Girls, the strong family spirit of Stover has already made me feel a real affection for this happy, lively and friendly school. The keynote of this, my first letter, must be one of gratitude : to the Governors for entrusting me with the guidance of this School at an exciting period of its history : to Miss Dence for so generously giving much of her time to tell me of the School's spirit and traditions, which she has created and developed over the years : to parents, staff and girls for their kindly welcome, and friendly attitude ; and Old Girls especially will realise how much I owe to Miss Lidgate's long experience and her constant readiness to try new experiments, and to Miss Gaukrodger for her encyclopaedic knowledge of all the School's activities.
