Walking to the National Museum of Singapore from the Nearest MRT Stations

 Exit the station at Exit A. If you are on the Circle Line, you will have to walk through the retail and F&B outlets in the basement of Dhoby Exchange to get to Exit A.  Take the escalator up to ground level. At the top of the escalators, you will see Orchard Road on your left and a park on your right. (See 1.)  Refer to the map. Take either exit and walk towards Handy Road and Orchard Road Presbyterian Church (See 2.)  Walk down the road against the flow of traffic with the church on your right.  Continue walking past the YMCA towards the traffic light junction (See 3.)  You will see the National Museum of Singapore as you approach the traffic light junction. Cross the traffic lights and you will have arrived at the National Museum.

Underground passageway Escalator

 Exit the station at Exit B or C into the basement of Singapore Management University (SMU)  Follow signages at SMU towards the School of Accountancy – it is at the end of the SMU basement walkway (see black dotted line).  Take the escalator on your right at the end of the walkway (See A.)  At the top of the escalator, turn left and walk until you see the National Museum of Singapore  You may also take the alternative route to exit the SMU basement at the escalators opposite the Koufu foodcourt (see blue dotted lines), and continue above ground from the Li Ka Shing Library to the National Museum.

Exit A (Red Route)  Exit the station at Exit A. Turn left at the top of the escalator.  Refer to the map and follow the red route until you reach point B which is where the Singapore Management University School of Accountancy is.  Follow the path behind the School of Accountancy until you reach the National Museum of Singapore

Exit B (Blue Route)  Exit the station at Exit B and turn right at the top of the escalators and walk towards the traffic junction (See A.)  Cross the traffic junction to the Capitol Theatre. Follow the blue route past Capitol Theatre until you reach Point B.  Cross the road at Point B to the Singapore Management University School of Accountancy  Follow the path behind the School of Accountancy until you reach the National Museum of Singapore
