COMPETITIVE ASSESSMENT JULY 10, 2018 Request Full Research CA-1238 GLOBAL RIDESHARING VENDORS INTRODUCTION Ridesharing services have grown at breakneck speeds over the past decade as an increasing number of people are using these services and bypassing conventional taxi services and other forms of public transport. The end goal for current ridesharing services is to disrupt and displace the much larger consumer vehicle ownership market through enhancement of their current services as well as the future application of driverless technology. This study analyzes and compares the strength of the current leading ridesharing providers worldwide through an analysis of their innovation programs, strategies, and implementation achievement, as measured through verifiable metrics. A ridesharing service is defined by ABI Research as any company that allows independent drivers to operate on the company’s mobility platform to provide on-demand transportation to the user. This study will also include ride-hailing providers—companies that do not utilize private drivers but instead partner with local taxi providers to provide on-demand transportation to the user. In addition, a global market share evaluation is also provided in the report and compares each vendor’s share of global ridesharing passenger trips. The vendors assessed in this report are Cabify, Careem, Curb, DiDi Chuxing, Easy Taxi, Gett, Go-Jek, Grab, Kakao Mobility Corporation, Lyft, MyTaxi, Ola Cabs, Taxify, and Uber. METHODOLOGY OVERVIEW After individual scores are established for innovation and implementation, an overall company score is established using the Root Mean Square (RMS) method: The resulting overall scores are then ranked and used for percentile comparisons. Snapchat Spectacles
Snapchat's fans, not the media, are telling the world about Spectacles SNAPCHAT SPECTACLES Snapchat's just-released camera sunglasses. But much of the conversation hasn't even focused on the launch -- it's been about the bizarre and delightful game Snapchat has made out of getting them. Rather than letting anyone buy them online, it's been dropping adorable Snap Bot vending machines around the country, providing a countdown and map on its website so fans can breathlessly await the next appearance. SNAPCHAT SPECTACLES This (potentially) artificial scarcity is all part of Snapchat's strategy. When Spectacles were first announced, CEO Evan Spiegel referred to them as "a toy," and the quest to get a pair has become a big game for ardent fans. Every few days, a new Bot machine drops; two have been in LA while the other two have been in more far-flung corners of the country. One showed up in Big Sur, on the California coast, and the other in Oklahoma at the Blue Whale of Catoosa SNAPCHAT SPECTACLES With every drop, people are tweeting their excitement and disappointment, getting their hopes up during the countdown only to have them dashed when the Bot is hundreds or thousands of miles away. And the Spectacles Twitter account catalogs all the ups and downs, retweeting fans who get their hands on the glasses and frustrated potential buyers still waiting for the Bot to show up in New York City. SNAPCHAT SPECTACLES It's proved to be a pretty brilliant strategy at driving hype: Dozens of people show up at the vending machines within minutes, and the glasses are always sold out within an hour or two. -

Impact of Branded Goods on Consumer’s Purchase Intentions Abstract Brands have become an important figure nowadays and branded goods have immensely changed the perceptions of the individuals purchase decisions. Branded goods are basically an ironic symbol for the consumers for that they are willing to pay higher prices in return of a good name. Purchase intentions may be blocked by the brand loyalty which can be a result of the cause related exertions of marketing. This research paper tries to explore the influence of apparent product image, past experience and product awareness on consumers purchase intention. This may leads consumers towards branded products. The independent variables which are argued in this particular study is firstly, the price which shows a detailed relations with the customer satisfaction and then how consumers persuade towards the particular goods with its complete intentions. Secondly, core brand image is the variable which is the direct component that comes in the minds of consumers while making a definite reason to opt for the brand. -
