THE THRILLER Bs

A SOUTH MAIN BETHLEHEM A South Main Bethlehem was quite a thrilling event. Again I want to say how proud I am of the way that you prayed and planned and then provided our ministry area with a wonderful Christmas experience. Brenda Lyles and Tommy Arnold deserve a special word of commendation and appreciation for coordinating all of the work and all of the volunteers that carried out the work (more than 425 of them). We have received such overwhelmingly positive affirmation from people who came and participated in Main Events is a publication of South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena, TX. this event. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to show many people His great love to us For more information about the ministries of this church, please call 281-487-8200 • www.southmain.org • demonstrated in sending that little baby born in Bethlehem.

OUR ASSOCIATE PASTOR BOBIE MILLER Bobie and Kathy Miller left the FBC of Floydada, Texas, and came to South Main in January of 1982. Over the past 35 years, they have endeared themselves to us. Bobie had the title of Minister of Music for many years and then took on the title Associate Pastor, Music and Worship. He has worn both of those titles well. He coordinated the wide range of groups that provided music for us, from the youngest preschoolers to a Senior Adult Choir. In addition to that, he has ministered to us by planning worship as a praise ministry to God and has been the touchpoint of providing a comprehensive ministry to individuals and families in both spiritual and practical ways.

It has been thrilling to me to work alongside my dear colleague and friend. We will express our gratitude for Bobie and Kathy’s ministry among us on Sunday, January 29. You will be receiving a letter about the details.

THE 2017 MISSION & MINISTRY BUDGET Nolan Allen chaired the work of the 2017 Mission & Ministry Budget Team. The financial plan that this team prepared will be presented to the Deacon Group and to the congregation for discussion on Sunday, January 8, in our Winter Ministry Celebration. None of the thrilling ministries that we do as a congregation would be possible without the genuine Christ like generosity of our members. Come and participate in the budget presentation and discussion and then participate in the support of our ministry plan for this year.
