He has an overall record of 84-36 for a .700 winning percentage. He is the fourth winningest active Division I-AA coach. In 2003, he was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year, and for three times in his career he has been Patriot League Coach of the Year. SCOTT NAMED TO WALTER PAYTON WATCH LIST Colgate sophomore tailback Jordan Scott (Hyattsville, MD) is one of 16 players named to the “Payton Watch” list by The Sports Network. The 20th Walter Payton Award will be presented to the top player in TEAM COMPARISONS I-AA football during the 2006 season. Colgate has two previous winners of the Walter Payton Award – Kenny Gamble (1987) and Jamaal Branch (2003).
