Exchange students should only purchase tickets once SKKU has confirmed the dates of arrival. Students who are nominated for the exchange are eligible for a travel grant from OIA. Nearest international Incheon International Airport (ICN) airport SKKU has housing designated for exchange students but may not be able to provide accommodation for all due to demand. At the Humanities and Social Housing Sciences Campus (Seoul), housing options are off-campus. At the Natural Sciences Campus (Suwon), housing is on-campus. https://www.skku.edu/eng/CampusLife/support/dormitory02.do Pre-departure The College OIA staff will provide an in-person orientation near the end of orientation the fall semester to help students prepare for their programs. SKKU’s International Student Orientation provides an orientation for students to discover campus resources, meet fellow international students, Arrival information discuss academic issues and course registration, and have a campus tour. https://www.skku.edu/eng/International/StudySKKU/Introduction.do Tuition IU Tuition Housing and Food $2,000-$2,800 Estimated costs per Books and incidentals $800 semester Local Transportation $300 OVST administrative fee $233 + insurance, visa, airfare APPLICATION INFORMATION • Must be pursuing a degree within the College of Arts and Sciences Student eligibility • Have completed a minimum of one year at IUB prior to enrolling abroad requirements • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above • Have a passport by the time applications are due at the host university, valid at least 6 months after the anticipated return date For this program, students must be nominated by the College Office of International Affairs (OIA). Due date for Monday, September 30, 2019 applications to OIA • If you would like to apply for this exchange, please visit http://go.iu.edu/ASPIREexchanges • Click on Apply Now to access the application form. • Complete the form and upload a statement of intent. • Send the recommendation form link to the person who will supply a reference for you. It must be submitted by the application deadline. Application process • OIA staff will conduct interviews with select students (semi-finalists) to determine their suitability and preparedness for the exchange. Students must come to the interview prepared with a list of prospective courses they might like to take abroad. • OIA will nominate finalists to SKKU. Upon acceptance, SKKU will contact students to invite them to apply for admission. An academic transcript and copy of your passport will be required at this point.
