I am happy to see exponentially growing culture of research v Patents 13 at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. During these last six months, our faculty members have received funding of close to INR 75 lakhs from DST and v Publications 14 HIMCOSTE for three different projects. This is in addition to several other ongoing funded projects in the university. There are three more projects that have been submitted to DST and SERB and are under consideration. The best part of these sanctioned and submitted research projects is that all these have a direct application to the society. DST sponsored IPR Cell of our university as well as Entrepreneurship Cell is doing an excellent job in their respective departments. Chitkara University H.P. has attained a milestone of 50 patents with 6 patents being led during January – June 2019, and till June 2019 four patents have been granted to us by the Indian Patent Ofce. In addition to other events, Entrepreneurship Cell or CEED conducted a huge event - SURGE 0.1 to bring together start-up eco-system, FUTURE EVENTS entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists of the region as well as academic community on a single platform. v DST Expert Committee Meeting on Landslide All the departments in the university have been organizing pertinent, signicant Hazard Mitigation (September 2019) and state of the art technical events by inviting experts from outside. Our faculty v Startup Weekend (September 2019) members have been participating in many external events and our university has v International Conference on Chemical, always encouraged such participation.
