II. Parish/Community Information

1(a) Briefly describe the population mix of the(se) The parishes are based around rural villages, parish(es) in terms of its employment, cultural, almost exclusively British White population ethnic, age and housing mix. which reflects the area covered by Council. A small number of Syrian refugees have been placed in Northallerton and , the largest towns in the area. Unemployment is extremely low, though many people commute to neighbouring areas. Approx 30% of the population are under 30 years of age.

Kirby Wiske’s Quinquennial Report raised the question over the state of the roof as previously mentioned.

All Saints is again in good order.

VII. Lay Education and Participation

3(a) How do you rate the strength of lay leadership? Practical leadership is very good with many volunteers to help with the upkeep of the churches and grounds, church cleaning, flower arranging. Church members regularly read the lessons and lead the Intercessions.

A suggestion was made by our previous Rector that an Administrator would be of be of benefit to the Incumbent and the Benefice. The two PCCs agreed to this and we are currently in discussion with an established administrator over our needs and terms.
