Adsorption capacity tests were performed with the dye diluted with and without sucrose, and from the data, the linearization of the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were calculated. The lollipop was prepared with syrup treated with activated carbon and visually evaluated using a panel of untrained tasters. The Freundlich isotherm adjusted more appropriately to the experimental data of the adsorption of the dye diluted in distilled water, while for the dye diluted in sucrose solution, the most suitable model was Langmuir's.

    Open Indoor Exhibits General Rules 1. Any Sandoval County resident is eligible to exhibit. 2. Articles exhibited in the fair must be the work of the exhibitor and must have been completed since the previous fair. 3. No person is allowed to make more than one entry per class number. 4. Entries, excluding baked goods, will be taken on Monday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Sandoval County Fairgrounds or any time prior at the Extension Office. Baked good entries will be taken on Wednesday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. 5. Items will be entered in the appropriate age category: a. Booster – 8 years and under b. Youth – 9-18 years’ old c. Adult – 19 years and older 6. Judges will award no higher prize than exhibit merits. The decisions made by judges will be final. 7. No more than one of each placing may be awarded in each class. 8. One Best of Show (purple rosette) may be awarded in each division, within each age category, only if a blue ribbon has been awarded. Best of Show rosettes will be awarded only if deemed worthy by the judge. 9. All exhibitors awarded Best of Show rosettes will be entered into a chance drawing for Outstanding Indoor Exhibitor. A monetary award, to be determined by Fairboard, will be awarded to each Outstanding Indoor Exhibitor in each age category. 10.     Introduction Hi there! I'm Rebecca, and for most of my 20s I've suffered from IBS-D: Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Diarrhea. It sounds a lot better as an acronym, doesn't it? I'd often use those four letters or sometimes I would simply tell people I have a "digestive disorder" to avoid saying "irritable," "bowel," or "diarrhea." But that's the truth: I had diarrhea every day for nearly a decade. "Every day" is certainly a shocker, but the word that jumps out to me now is "had." That's right, I don't have IBS any more! I'm through to the light at the end of the tunnel and have regular bowel movements like I did as a child. It was a long journey, though. During the earlier part of my time with IBS, I did have hope that I could change my health around. I would bring it into focus, day after day, but soon another year would go by with daily diarrhea. And another. And another. It got to the point where I could no longer imagine myself without this condition. Was this going to be my reality forever? In the pages to follow you'll read my story—from being a midwestern kid in the '90s to spending some of my 20s living abroad in Spain, South Korea, and France—through the lens of my digestive health. I'm sharing this journey freely and publicly in the hopes that you will feel less alone, be encouraged to advocate for yourself when interacting with health professionals, perhaps discover some new ideas to try, and see that big transformation happens one day at a time.
