2:51 in i period nummer fyra förvaltar Niklas Andersson Sami Salos assist på bästa sätt. Frölundas trupp 2004-2005: Henrik Lundqvist, Mikael Sandberg, Martin Spångberg, Jan-Axel Alavaara, Christian Bäckman, Richard Demén-Willaume, Björn Gustafsson, Tom Koivisto, Anti-Jussi Niemi, Sami Salo, Ronnie Sundin, Arto Tukio, Daniel Alfredsson, Likit Andersson, Niklas Andersson, Per-Johan Axelsson, Loui Eriksson, Jonas Esbjörs, Peter Högardh, Jonas Johnson, Magnus Kahnberg, Tomi Kallio, Jens Karlsson, Joel Lundqvist, Kalle Olsson, Martin Plüss, Samuel Påhlsson, Jari Tolsa samt Daniel Åhsberg.

  • MEDIA GUIDE 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship a Chance to See the Best Ice Hockey Players
MEDIA GUIDE 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship A chance to see the best ice hockey players One misconception about the IIHF World Junior Championships is that it features “future” stars. If you look at the development of the event, you will realize that this magnificent tournament features players who are world class stars already today. The World Juniors also show, by the way, how quickly a year goes by. Let’s take you back to December 2012 and the IIHF World U20 event in Ufa, Russia. Canada’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who led the tournament in scoring with 15 points in 6 games is today an integral part of the Edmonton Oilers while his countrymen Jonathan Huberdeau (9 points in 6 games in Ufa) and Mark Scheifele (8 points in 6 games) are the future of the Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets respectively. USA’s All-Star defenseman and gold winner in Ufa, Jacob Trouba, is playing sensationally well for the Winnipeg while teammate Alex Galchenyuk personifies the new generation Montreal Canadiens. Last year’s dominating Finns Joel Armia and Markus Granlund have both signed NHL contracts and are biding their time in the AHL, but Swedes Filip Forsberg, Elias Lindholm and Rickard Rakell have all played NHL games this season. So think about this when you watch the 38th IIHF World Junior event in Malmö – you may most likely have one chance to see the best players. Next year they are probably celebrated professionals either in the NHL or in any of the European leagues. A good example of the natural turnover is the defending World Champion United States: from last year’s golden roster in Ufa only there are only three returnees on the 2014 team.

  • Brothers Against Violence
The twin hockey players Joel and Henrik Lundqvist becomes Non-Violence Peace Ambassadors. Jul 19, 2018 09:30 UTC Brothers against violence The Non-Violence Project Foundation (NVPF) announces two new Peace Ambassadors - New York Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist and HC Frölunda's Joel Lundqvist. "We hope to bring more knowledge to young people and spread Non- Violence Projects important message about non-violence by becoming Ambassadors for Peace." The Non-Violence Project Foundation's symbol and sculpture the knotted gun was created as a memorial by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd after his friend John Lennon was killed in New York 1980. It's today one of the world's most famous symbols for peace and non-violence. The sculpture Non- Violence was placed outside the United Nations head-quarters in New York 30 years ago and is placed at 30 other strategic places around the world. The foundation is proud to have Ambassadors as Yoko Ono, Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr, Dustin Johnson, Gianluigi Buffon, Muhammed Ali supporting the important message of peace and non-violence. Each Ambassador has designed and named their own version of the knotted gun sculpture. Yoko Ono's sculpture is named "Imagine" and decorated with clouds on a blue sky. Today the foundation officially announces the two brothers and hockey players Henrik Lundqvist (New York Rangers) and Joel Lundqvist (HC Frölunda) as new ambassadors for The Non-Violence Project Foundation. Their sculptures are naturally inspired by ice hockey and named "830 13 for Peace" after their birth town Åre, sport resort in northern part of Sweden.
